The lady at the desk was welcoming and friendly but also clear and specific with instructions, she had a calming yet firm tone of voice. As all people visiting are nervous I found this helpful

Very rude receptionist, not friendly at all. Guess only specific people are being treated like this.. self explanatory when you read other reviews.

Receptionist really rude and abrupt, maybe needs to take some lessons in how to speak to people nicely and smile! Such a frosty and unwelcome arrival, it was disgusting how she spoke to people coming in to take their theory test ! Read the reviews and book elsewhere

Firstly I am not here to criticize anyone or to belittle anyone , just going to state our experience yesterday - Thursday 09th of March 2023.My son’s test was at 6pm, he set off from home 2 hours before his test snow was between 2 & 3 inches about this time, buses were still diverted and stopped halfway, so he walked the last one and half mile through the snow.He arrived at the test centre at approximately 5.54pm.Approached the desk and told the lady he was here for his theory test.to which he had the following response “you are late and have to book your test again”he explained to the lady the weather is bad and his experience and also I’m not late the test was at 6pm and he had 6 minutes left.She said “you have to arrive 15 minutes before” so he was sent away unfortunately.I am not here judge or belittle anyone, I’m sure DVSA employ professional people with more than adequate training for their roles, but in my humble opinion I would suggest the following;1. Please be slightly compassionate & flexible if you objectively know there is a genuine reason why someone is late.2. Why would you give a set time, then say come 15 minutes before, if you don’t, we won’t see you?Today I will be at work and it’s snowing again, anyone who come’s in late for their appointment they will be seen, I will be compassionate and will try to understand their experience.Thank you for listening .. and have a safe journey home.

What do I think about test centre you have to be confident in your self to tell you yourself you are going to pass count from 5 backwards to one when it reach 1 I am ready just be confident in yourself unsure of your decision

The receptionists are extremely rude. Was not even greeted with a smile or acknowledged. By looking at the reviews i am not the only one who has said this. The receptionist said my picture on my provisional licence was not me, even though it is, and it looks exactly like me?! Then I was told to write my signature out three times as i was doing a completely different signature" to what was on my provisional license... and it honestly was not!I have never felt so embarrassed and ridiculed. I was then waiting for my theory test results

17/08/22I have nothing negative at all to say regarding the staff working here, the process of taking the theory and the overall standard of the building.Surprised by the few reviews that mention staff being either lazy or rude. I was met with friendly and approachable staff (albeit only two were on shift). The lady behind the reception desk was friendly and formal, made me aware of what was needed to be done and she spoke clearly so that I understood.The lady I met before taking my test was friendly, like the first she spoke clearly what I would be expecting once inside the exam room".Both staff members were kind and had a smile on their faces.Once my exam was over it took only 3 minutes for my results to be presented to me.It makes me wonder how anyone could perceive formality with rudeness. This isn't your local hairdressers.My only real issue is that I do wonder how regularly the PCs are cleaned. Not for covid reasons

Really professional team, friendly and helpful.I have seen some negative reviews lower down. I felt the staff were professional throughout while being kind and caring, wishing everyone all the best and trying to make a very stressful situation as least stressful as possible.
