Contrary to the one negative review on here, I cannot commend Clarkes Electrical highly enough. The staff are extraordinarily knowledgeable, extremely friendly, full of helpful advice (about and also outside of your current problem) and over the years have spent not an insignificant amount of time helping me to diagnose and solve problems with appliances. I've lost count of the number of times I have repaired a washing machine, tumble dryer or dishwasher with the help of the staff at Clarkes Electrical. They must have saved me hundreds of pounds. Here's a prime example - today I purchased a new belt jockey pulley for my tumble dryer - the owner of the shop came out with another part for the back of the drum, but not intending to sell it to me - no - he showed it to me, told me how to rotate it 90 degrees and re-attach it in order to counteract any wear on the back spindle attachment of the drum (which may have contributed to the failure of the jockey wheel) - absolutely above and beyond the call of duty. Customer service at its very best.I highly commend Clarkes Electrical - it's absolutely superb.If I could give 6 stars, I would !

Spoke to the man in the shop off the off chance he had the element for the Bosch cookerHe told me to leave the serial numberHe got back to me asap and said we have 3 in stockSo I purchased one off himThe man didn’t close the shop he stayed open until I purchased itThe man was very friendlyVery knowledgeableHe advised me on how to remove the old element and fit the new oneI would definitely go to the shop again and definitely recommend this shop for spares

I took a somewhat unusual electrical item to them (a central vacuum system) which had failed.They stripped it and tested it and confirmed it needed replacing.Unfortunately, sourcing a replacement motor proved not to be straightforward.I left it with them.Days, weeks, months went by.On ocassions I contacted them, they assured me they were still sourcing parts.Eventually, I decided it wasn't worth waiting longer and told them I was going to buy a new machine. At that moment they said they were only a couple of weeks from a solution.I gave them benefit of the doubt and sure enough it was fixed.Much credit to them. They certainly persevered and managed the repair and at a very reasonable price.Definitely 5* service.

So helpful. They will always try to fix things and be extra helpful.

This shop is an aladins cave of electrical components. Service always exceptional and accommodating.I hope this shop carries on for many years, it has never failed me!Keep up the good work!!

Wonderful shop. Used it many times and the parts are always spot on. Went in today and the gentleman was so helpful and even gave me a few tips. Tumble dryer now fixed and saved from the landfill, saved me several hundred pounds on a new one aswell. True hidden gem of a shop.
