Loch Fleet National Nature Reserve (Mound car park)
Beautiful area, lots of wildlife to see out on the sand bars when the tide is low, lots of seals basking. A great area for keen birdwatchers particularly from the car park at the West end of the estuary marked off the A9 at the north end of the mound.

Loch Fleet National Nature Reserve (Mound car park)
Great viewing point in layby, which was part of old A9 before new bridge was built. It looks west, so the sunsets are glorious, particularly in early autumn through to late spring. Geese and other wildfowl, otters, various raptors, and salmon, among many other species, are often visible.

Loch Fleet National Nature Reserve (Mound car park)
Loch Fleet Nature Reserve is a natural stopping place on the busy A9 route. It lies just four miles south of Golspie. There is a beautful natural view to the distant mountains. The car park can be a bit tight for space especially in the summer months. There are no facilities here but you do get a nice view and a little break from driving.

Big parking area with various interpretation boards dotted around explaining the surroundings including how the Mound was developed. Great place to catch the sun going down and watching the birds on the banks out in the water.

What a lovely area to see at different points. One end you can see hundreds of seals. We came just before midday the tide was out so there were many just on the sandy banks. Plenty of birds. The other area you can apparently see Salmon and otters but during higher tides so we didn't see then on this occasion. But definitely bring your camera and binoculars.

Lovely views and free parking. There are walks you can do around the Loch.

Great views, had lunch in our camper here, got to see an Osprey in flight, hunting so that was fab.
