I wouldn’t recommend this company, and whilst I told the owner leaving negative reviews wasn’t “my style” during a discussion about a review my daughter left (he felt the review my daughter left last month about his business was unfair and said he could understand had it been left last year!) I then had to ask myself did I have a moral obligation to let other consumers know based on MY appalling experience which is still ongoing, why I would not recommend them. Especially when one is parting with significant sums of money. The conclusion I came to was yes.Everyone’s experience is different, remember that when reading the reviews here, because you like me just might be that next person who has an awful experience like the one I am still enduring now. It has been said to me on several occasions by staff, you must be sick of the sight of us.A bathroom I was promised would start in March 2022 (after parting with over 2/3rds of the bathroom cost in December 2021) to then be told they couldn’t start until mid April. I then encountered several issues even before the work had commenced. Wanting desperately to withdraw at this point as alarm bells were ringing about this business’ integrity, I found myself unable to as the 14 day cooling off period had long lapsed from the generic T&Cs they like to refer to along with a CAD drawing not worth the paper it was printed on.A three week bathroom took 4 months to complete. Even then it was completed to what I consider a below average standard but by this stage I just wanted them out of my home and I knew I would not under any circumstances be engaging with them on the rest of the renovation work I had briefly discussed with them for my home.Staff not turning up with no forewarning or purportedly off sick became a regular occurrence. I also found rubbish from other jobs dumped in the skip that the company invoiced me for !It soon became clear the fitters assigned to install the bathroom whilst very amiable, (I would add all staff at this company are, but do not let that blindside you!) were not very skilled and by the end of the project I think I must have had nearly every person who works for the business at some point out to attempt to fix a catalogue of issues that were in my eyes (I have been renovating homes for over 20 years) not remedied to a satisfactory standard or one that Addingtons appears to be able to attain to.This summer I encountered yet another issue which remains unresolved, after giving them access to my home 3 times to fix what the owner claims to be a small leak (a towel is permanently on the floor to soak up water).He derived at this conclusion despite not living here, by holding water to the area for less than a minute or 2.How long do you take to shower ?I was left perplexed when on the 3rd visit this exercise was repeated by a team member.They say they have lessons to learn but it would appear that this is at the expense of the consumer! Whilst the business lays claims to its guarantee, they do not actually appear to be able resolve or remedy issues on a first attempt or even a third. They are good at wasting time though. Having asked the owner 3 times how the issue was to be resolved, my question fell on deaf ears only that he was sending someone out the following morning. Having allowed a fitter in my home for a third attempt to fix said leaking shower he couldn’t, with the company now blaming me because the shower had been used. Now had the owner answered my question, this would not have happened.I reported one issue but was left after their visits with several more. This was also a regular theme.At what point do you draw the line and say enough is enough?!The owner has admitted the project was poorly managed. Photos highlight just a few issues along the way. There are many more.A formal complaint which was long overdue was filed and now escalated further . I believe we now have what’s called a Mexican Stand Off!I’ve no doubt reading the other negative reviews I will get some standard justification essay response from the owner too.

From the start with designing and planning, to fitting our new kitchen, this was a really good experience. Which David and his team completed with expert professionalism and to the time scale. Nothing was too much trouble and with good advice given. I would certainly recommend them. They also refitted our bathroom last year, again to a high standard. I am a very happy satisfied customer.

If a 0 star review was possible, it'd be given.I would highly advise people to avoid this awful, awful company. Not only do they have rude, incompetent staff members, they also cannot deliver promised work and quality of bathrooms to the BARE minimum standard, let alone a high quality finish when you are paying 10's of thousands for a bathroom. Being told that you are blowing things out of proportion when you've paid a huge amount of money for a bathroom with a shower that wasn't even fitted correctly in the first place so is now leaking etc. What kind of professional says something like that to a customer? Fitting work has now finished on our new shower room. The existing bathroom was taken out completely, right down to the brickwork, along with all of the old plumbing that was causing us problems.I was nervous to have the work done, never having had this kind of refurbishment done before, but needn't have worried as the team at Addingtons explained everything to us and managed the project, and advised us of our options.The room is a bit of an awkward shape, with a sloping ceiling and not much wall room to accommodate a shower but David came up with an ingenious idea that incorporated a sloped angle at the window sill, still letting the light in but giving us the room we needed for a walk-in shower.We opted to do the painting ourselves so that will be completed in the next week or so as we fit it in around work.I am very pleased with our new room - it has made a huge difference to the house and have been inspired now to get on and complete other rooms. The tiling is great and we love our new shower. The walls and ceiling are all newly plastered, waiting for us to finish the painting.Thank you to the whole team at Addingtons for all the hard work. There were a few challenges to be addressed along the way, mostly due to the age of the property and the pipework, sometimes unwelcome surprises, however the issues were resolved so by switching part of the work, we kept to our budget. The whole team all worked really hard and produced a massive improvement in the room. They should be very proud.Many thanks to David, Joe, Nathan, Dan, Jake, Carl, John, Ryan and the ladies in the office for all your help.

Having had a number of bad experiences with bathrooms over the years I was very nervous about trying yet another company who promised they would be different. This time, they were! From the moment I walked into the showroom, they were interested, professional and knowledgable. They had good ideas and very good plans. the budget was detailed, agreed and stuck to, any additional spend was discussed and agreed, but was minimal.We had a big unforeseen problem at the beginning of the work, but the whole company pulled together and managed it extremely well, causing as small a delay as possible. At the end of the project my small number of “snags” were dealt with very quickly. I really am not good at having people working in my home, but due to their helpfulness/friendliness and keeping as close as physically possible to timescale, it was manageable for me!I am really pleased with the end result. I have a beautiful working bathroom and, so far, no unexpected leaks! Thank you to the whole team at Addingtons.

Beautiful showroom. David is brilliant re ideas and so meticulous throughout the process of designing our bathroom with us.We were so impressed that we have just paid the deposit for our kitchen redesign.The quality of the products are first class: Mackintosh and AEG for appliances.I am very excited about both upcoming projects and have the utmost faith in Addingtons to deliver a first class service.A big thank you to David for taking us through it all in detail and leaving no question unanswered. Would highly recommend a visit.

Following the full refurbishment of our bathroom. We have no hesitation in recommending Addingtons. David and his team have been totally professional throughout. John the project manager in particular is highly skilled with a great attention to detail.If you are considering their services be in no doubt.We are very pleased we chose them.

We have recently had our en=suite and cloakroom refurbished by Addingtons and couldn’t be more pleased with the service from designing to fixing. The team were helpful and considerate at all levels. We can highly recommend them.

From the beginning of the process right through to completion, every member of the team was helpful, professional and clearly communicated each step of the process to us.
