Using this as an alias but I did Games and Animation and did not enjoy it because of a specific tutor. He ruined the whole course and I had to switch college’s because there was nothing else to do.

Completed two qualifications here. Firstly when I was there it was undergoing a lot of changes, and to be fair it did improve greatly. With that said, and the reason i'm giving it 3 stars is because of the staff. Most are great and care about your education, others not so much. To the point where some classes we wouldn't do anything and students would just sit there playing games. Before the new building, which is really nice by the way, the college mainly used the two other, older buildings and these were clearly run down and old. But these have been done up and are now much better. I would still recommend going here as they are really trying to do a good job and turn the college into something better.

Avoid attending this college at all costs. My son has been on a course at this college for the past 2.5 years and has been messed about to a totally unacceptable level. He had to resit one of his years due to a tutor leaving and losing all of his work (I kid you not). He's had several tutor's in his time, 2 left and actually advised their students to change college due to its inept handling of learning. He regularly arrives at the college as part of his day release for his apprenticeship only to be told to go home as there is no class. His employer have had to log several complaints with the college all of which have made no difference.

It is a lovely collge but teaches need to learn about not to have a go at students because I am sick of that. They is good courses. And I love it because I have made new mates that's why I like it. Because i love to be with my mates all the time. But apart from that I like college I love. But I like the most is my support teachers they have been lovely to me since I started that college. And I my mates they are always there for meSo I am giving this college 4 stars because it is great but sometimes they is some bits of mistakes

RCAT is a good technical college. It's had a long and somewhat chequered past as local institutions go. Would recommend over TRC.

The Town Centre campus has facilities for a wide range of curriculum including arts, media and performance, engineering, plumbing, health, social and child care, English and maths, business and IT.The Catering and Hospitality teaching area runs a training restaurant, 'The Wharncliffe', while the Hair and Beauty area run salons for hair, nail and beauty treatments under the brand name 'Inspire'. The 'Studio Theatre puts on student performances. All these services are open to the public.Near the Town Centre Campus, the college has a separate 'Construction Centre' in three units on Rawmarsh Road, where joinery, brickwork, plastering and painting and decorating are taught.

Took a year long course, teachers were awful, one teacher couldn’t even speak fluent english in an english facility. other teachers were half tasking there job, mind the odd few who were great teachers.

Last year I applied for Games and animation and it was one of the worst years of my life in education. No one in my lesson talked and the tutor (MDM) is one of the worst tutors/teachers ever. He called my pathetic once because I struggle with mental health issues like depression and I needed someone to talk to but he didn’t do anything about it. I do IT which is better but the college is still a joke not gonna lie

Reviewing after almost 10 years of leaving here.Rotherham College (or RCAT as it was known) allowed me study and take my GCSEs as an adult (~20 years old). I have since obtained multiple degrees upto Master's level and have worldwide experience ranging from employers in Cambridge, Tokyo and San Francisco. I have never been in a better situation financially and can afford to support my whole family. I worked harder than anyone else at College and University but without the opportunities given to me by Rotherham College I would still likely be on benefits or be doing part time cleaning jobs and never have left Rotherham.
