Cardiff International Pool & Gym

I have been a member for around 4 years. The past year I have noticed that cleaning standards have dropped significantly. Not only that. You now have to either bring your own padlock for lockers or buy one for £5. What a massive inconvenience. Hardly any sessions in the evening for swimming. I am seriously considering cancelling my membership.

50m pool, water park/kids side, with a gym and spa.Pre-booking is a must, with dedicated numbers per session. Huge child friendly pool with water slides, lazy river, jacuzzi style areas and splash buckets.Massive changing area, colour coded with family rooms available if you have come with a large group.

Great facilities, friendly and helpful staff. The pool and slides are great fun. My only criticism is that they seem to allow too many people in to a session. The queues for the slides are very long and the pool is crowded. In a 55 minute session we only managed to have 3 slides and about 15/20 min in the pool. It was school holidays though and it was raining outside.

It was really pretty good. Two kids age 6&4 they loved it. 6 year old was big enough for slides he loved it. The little slide though was fab too for the 4 year old. He LOVED it.The ONLY thing I would say. Is a little more cleanliness in the changing rooms. It’s like everyone has forgotten hygiene since Covid.

I went recently for the first time.It was difficult to have to 'parade' past everyone to get to the lane swimming. This was horrific for me as a larger person, and took me 3 attempts before I did the long walk. The floor was exceptionally slippery, and in places would have benefited from having a clean IMO. As someone with immunity issues this raised my anxiety and also concern. I did not see any information about this, and would highly recommend that swim shoes/flip flops be worn and left at poolside. This was my first time and I slipped on a number of occasions.The facilities- once you get familiar - are good. Nice to see all sections of the pool areas being used. Cubicles to get changed in, and to shower separately. The disabled shower had a seat, however, was not able to be locked back and possibly needed a clean underneath.There is a need to encourage and support all types of people to use these facilities.

It’s got so much potential to be an awesome place. Great slides with a variety of options but just not managed well.They have 1 member of staff manning all of them, meaning that the queue was huge because you’d have to wait while they wonder over to the space bowl and watch the participant go on and out, while the other 4 slides are sitting empty.

Great place, the pool depth is mostly at 1.2m so not great for kids under 8/9 years old especially around the lazy river. Other than that, amazing. Slides are great fun and lockers are clean.

Very reasonably priced. Paid £42 for 4 adults 3 children. Lots to do for all ages. Kids loved the slides and lazy river. It was very busy being a Saturday afternoon but plenty of changing cubicles. Floor was very slippery though. Could do with a bit of slip proof tiles around the pool and changing rooms. But we all enjoyed

It's a great facility, good opening hours, the 50m pool is at just the right temperature to work out. 4* as cleaning not always the best though it gets a lot of use so I appreciate it's tough to keep spotless.

Started the Good Boost pool classes, which deal with musculoskeletal problems and can't say enough about it. I absolutely love it. Each class is tailor-made for you, with the exercises shown on waterproof tablets, and the trainer is exceptional; extremely knowledgeable, and has improved my mobility just after three classes. My mental health, motivation, and confidence have improved drastically thanks to Sonia
