Holman Clavel Inn
The Holman Clavel is an absolute find. A small country pub nestled in the Blackdowns that has too much atmosphere and character to fit inside. Summer evenings are often best enjoyed in the pub front seating area where bands often play to enthusiastic customers & fans. The food is amazing and the crackling winter fire entertains dogwalkers from far and wide. Definitely somewhere to go whatever the weather.

Lovely country pub with a nice cozy atmosphere. We had a great welcome when we walked in the door and the Sunday roast was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Were going somewhere else but it was shut a local mentioned it The Bristol Red a nice sweet cider we had a camenbert share great starter onion rings crispy and soft vegan burger thick, tasty with tomato relish chips crispy and soft good atmosphere the staff attentative said sorry for the delay but the price of fresh food a tasty surprise thank you for the experience

An absolute gem of find. Classic English pub that serves top quality food! My husband and I decided to have meal there tonight and definitely didn't regret it. I had the gammon, egg and chips (but subbed the chips for their truffle and parmesan fries)...and have to say they were the best fries ever! My husband had the steak and ale pie with mash and veg and he has been raving about it since.The atmosphere is wonderful, a proper country pub with everyone being so friendly.Definitely will recommend this place to friends and family!

Excellent pub, good beers and with friendly staff. We showed up for lunch and although they were out of roasts (we hadn’t booked, so our fault) they kindly pulled together some steak sandwiches for us - a true life saver as we had two hungry kids with us! Will be back anytime we’re in the area.

Entering this place was like stepping back in time, because it's a genuine old, rustic country pub with a log burner and the kind of atmosphere that is rare in today's world dominated by gastropubs and sports bars. Friendly landlady, good choice of ales and ciders, interesting menu. The roast dinner was highly recommended by a regular. Certainly worth a visit. I only stopped for a drink, but will return for a meal.
