I attended CUP's one day course.... my only gripe is I had to leave!! : ) Wonderful studio and cafe. Warm friendly people. The course was thoughtfully put together and taught. It was the perfect intro to pottery with slab work and then also let loose on the wheels. A delicious lunch too... Catered very thoughtfully to me being gluten free too with one of the best cakes I have ever had, shame i didnt take a photo!! Many thanks to Pat and Col for such a wonderful day. I hope to be back!

I was lucky enough to have a 1 day intensive course. It was a great day with lots of excellent tuition and support. Really enjoyed getting getting on the wheel and Lucy was really generous with advice.Can't wait to get my pieces back after firing. Lunch and cake was included and delicious too!

My husband and I did one of the two hour taster sessions and had an absolute blast. We got to try hand building and throwing with really helpful guidance when we were on the wheel. We got to choose the colour for the glazing and picked up our creations a few weeks later.Can't recommend enough if you want to give ceramics a try. We will definitely be booking a course in the future :)

What a fabulous day and rather a wonderful place in general. I did a day course - half being introduced to using a wheel and half making pinch pots and plates. Staff were helpful and supportive and everyone came away having made at least a couple of things that were quite beautiful and will now be glazed. Meanwhile the place serves up the most amazing cheese toasties and coffee served in beautiful and individual mugs - all made by potters who use the space. A very special day. Thank you for your generous and creative spirit Cup. I will be back. Kate x

We came here for my friends hen do and the ladies running it were just brilliant! They were patient, and made us laugh. We had a few hours of creating by hand and creating using a wheel. So much opportunity to create and learn, with choices of how we want them decorated. I am actually hooked! Would go back again and definitely recommend it to others.

I attended the One-day Course at Cup and thoroughly enjoyed it. The space is fantastic, a real pleasure to be in and also very well equipped. As a beginner potter, i felt well- guided through all the techniques of hand building and throwing, and was really happy to have made four not-bad looking items by the end of the day. Cup are really generous with the materials and also with their warm, friendly welcome. It was excellent value for money and the cherry on the cake was being served a delicious lunch cooked and served by the owner, Col. 100% recommend.

Cup Ceramics is a wonderful, welcoming place for members and non-members alike. I did a one day taster session in early 2022 and came back since for several fun public events like raku day and the Christmas market. They are also really great with kids. My 5 year old loved his first throwing attempt.By the way, Cup also serve great coffee, cake and toasties at their café.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 1 day course that was bought for me. Small group and helpful patient teacher showed us how to get the most out of our day. Made 2 pinch pots by hand and a plate in the morning and after a lovely lunch had a go throwing pots on the wheel - great fun!If you've ever fancied a go at throwing a pot do go!Waiting for our pots to be glazed and fired now as it takes a while to fill the kiln.
