Last week was my first visit to the 1st Mark, a sailing supply shop in Warrington. What an experience!! The owners were really helpful (as I am quite new to the art of sailing). Needed help with a kicker for a snipe dinghy - got it made to measure there and then!! Fantastic shop, but much more importantly the people running it are fantastic!I would recommend 1st Matk 100%.

Great service and advice from Mark. Spent the time one day to show me how to splice Marlow rope to make continuous control line. Another day when I had a pulley problem on my boom he sorted out the problem and helped me put new lines and shock cord in the boom. No charge for his time. Mark has a passion for helping and sorting out problems and that gives him a USP. I wont buy gear now for anywhere else even if it is cheaper. I would rather support a local retailer/tradesman so he will be there in the future when I need advice.

Chandlery loads of stock. Never let me down yet for sailing hardware and clothes. Nice to be able use a local business and get pragmatic advice. Recommended

Mark is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Reasonable prices, good stock holding and usually has exactly what you need.Have used him for years and will carry on for years to come.

Very knowledgeable proprietor helped with choice of ropes and fittings and good chat re sailing with him and other customers. Stocks good ranges, will make up halyards while you wait and mends bust boats.
