Best chinese we've had in a long time! We were recommended by our neighbours and weren't disappointed!The food was fresh delivered in about 30 min. The portions and price were fair. It was like Chinese used to be! Ribs were meaty and tender. Beef was delicious noodles rice chicken balls etc all very good.

This is one of the last surviving “old school” Chinese takeaways in the area.I love the food from here.Most Chinese takeaways these days are a bit “samey” with average food that’s just “ok” because they buy all their supplies from the same wholesaler.Try it, you’ll love it, use it or lose it.Edit, gave up on this one as always seem to be missing something you ask for, repeatedly, not being managed very well.

Have been using Bamboo Garden for quite some time now. Food always good. I order the same every time, so know how much the cost is. I noticed on my online banking last week that I had been over charged. Tonight when collecting my order I mentioned that I had been overcharged last week. What a big fuss. The owner was called and disputed what I was saying. He asked me to go back next week when he had ‘found’ a copy of my order even though I explained that I order the same every time and showed him my bank statement. Reluctantly he eventually gave my refund.Safe to say I will not be using this takeaway again.

Food does not taste freshly made and is lacking in flavour. Also very poor customer service - I was shouted at by the lady at the front desk simply for asking if I could pay on collection. She initially said no but realised she was being unreasonable when I asked her if the order would have been accepted without having to pay in advance if I’d called in to order. Will not be visiting this establishment again. I like to support local business but the quality of food was just not acceptable unfortunately. Would have been better if it didn’t taste like reheated food made 3 days ago.

My mum got food poisoning from this place and was constantly being sick after she had eaten a Chinese from here day 5 and she still very unwell

Every time I go there and order salt and pepper chilli squed. (6 times in a row)I always ask for extra chili to have it hot but never done as per my request.Seems like they don't care about customer request!

I like it and use it often but only for certain things. The salt and pepper chicken and prawns are really good but the prawn balls are awful. Its just a gamble most of the time as to whether your getting a good meal of a slightly below average one. If they were more consistant I'd give them mire stars.

The best chinese for over 20 years! Lovely people, always happy to chat. Understandably they get very busy and I accept that, it means they're worth it. Always great service, even when under pressure. Great delivery drivers who've been a part of the team for years. I dream about this food!!! Highly recommend the Smoked Chicken!! 5/5

This is your typical Chinese takeaway. They've been in Harold Wood for as long as I can remember so they must be doing something right. A quick turnaround on orders and great if you want a night in with a reasonably priced Chinese takeaway.
