Very highly recommended Wing Chun classes. I have tried other (Wing Chun and various other martial arts) classes before and found these to be of a really high standard. The environment is very welcoming and friendly, whilst retaining an excellent level of professional care and practical application. The school comes from an old lineage, and head instructor John Tomlin has a huge amount of passion for his discipline as well as a wide range of martial art experience over many years. He always welcomes and encourages questions of any kind about the training and its application in real life situations, and he often adds in scenarios from other fighting disciplines which keeps the classes really interesting and also fighting realistic.Assistant instructor Sam Hallam adds another dimension to the feeling of being in great hands - she is incredibly passionate about Wing Chun, absolutely full of positivity and enthusiasm and good tips, and I always leave a class feeling energised and excited about what I have learned. An emphasis on practical defence methods and the possibility of training as hard or as soft as you feel, completes the excellent balance that these classes maintain.
