This is a tree on the top of the hill, where many people have left small plaques remembering their loved ones. Not sure how this tradition has started, but the plaques are relatively recent, don't expect plaques from 1800's

It's a really great resource to be able to walk around Cleeve hill and common. Unless you're playing golf up there 2-3 hours is plenty to get round virtually the whole area. Once up on the top you can amble along at your own pace so it's suitable for all abilities. Fine crop of fungi this autumn. 2019.

Short little walk/hike from the parking lot.View are good from up there overlooking town, railway, race course and distant hills.Be vary this area is heavily used for golf so be nice avoid their path and game.
