Ratlingate Scout Camping Centre
Not fit for purpose when the access road is controlled by some deranged psycho who blocks the road at whim, kicks off with parents with young kids in the car and causes an emergency police response when blocking the lane and holding families hostage.The local scout leaders bury their heads in the sand, refuse to acknowledge this is a huge safeguarding issue and conveniently blame the parents for ‘speeding’ down the lane instead.

Currently having a bit of work done to upgrade the site. But the normal facilities were still available and despite the Cumbrian weather a great site.

Ratlingate Scout Camping Centre
Had a great 2 days camping here with the family. It has to be a large organised group, they dont take individual bookings.There are a lot more facilities than you would expect such as fridge, freezer, toasters, microwave, oven and a number of electric points for charging.Toilets and shower facilities are also good for a camp site.

Gorgeous campsite. Well set up and well ran. Woodland is fab with lots of foraging options. Big field for camping and activities. Hope to book with them

Superb facilities for evening, day, and overnight activities for all ages. Camping grounds, indoor dorms, indoor and outdoor activity areas, full indoor catering kitchen and equipment, indoor toilet and shower facilities, outdoor toilet block, campfire circle, woodland and pond. Car park area on site but do be very cautious when negotiating the drive to the site as once past the entrance the potholes are large and numerous, so take your time especially when it's been wet weather.This is one of those places where life long memories are made for everyone who attends.

Fantastic space for the children to go to. My children have done camps with both scouts and school and always thoroughly enjoyed it.
