I've been passed many times and heard singing and laughing, this was my first time inside,they've done so much to it it's huge, it was very quiet when we went in but we were made very welcome, and the landlord was showing the boys with us around and telling them all about the refurb and a lot of the history behind the pub, had a few drinks....

This is my usual haunt to catch up with a couple mates and watch some sports. Plenty of seating and more than enough TVs so you don't miss any action.Drinks here are very reasonable in price and the staff are a good laugh.Out of all the establishments in town I prefer the Duke as its very comfortable and relaxed.

No decent beer. Barman claimed they didn't sell enough to make it worthwhile. Went in 7 pubs that evening and this was only one with no ale/craft beer. Will try to avoid in future.

Watched the Bridgewater Carnival from here after the Rugby World Cup final. It was the opening day for the pub and it was brilliant. I'm not from the area but the staff were really friendly even though it was busy, locals were nice, beer was good...what more could you ask for?!

Shame about the shouting and swearing customers ( told they were workers), who ruined the atmosphere of this modern, reasonably priced sports bar.No door staff and had to close early, due to customers wanting to fight.
