Skipness Castle
A lovely ruined castle with amazing views and even better views from the top.Ground floor all grass so bring proper footwear. FREE entry. Parking is a good 10 minute walk but there is on site blue badge parking.Toilets are available at the seafood cabin next door, which is definitely worth a visit also.

Stunning ruin with cafe next door. Good that you can still go in the tower to the roof. Very peaceful. Amazing views!

The café was closes for end of season, but the carpark, track, and castle grounds were accessible and well maintained.Couldn’t believe the friendliest sheep we have ever encountered, that were delighted to compete for a head scratch from us.Spectacular views, and worth a stop as part of Kintyre 66.

Skipness Castle
Fantastic little non touristy gem of a find. Lots of the castle ruins intact. You can walk in the rooms and go upto the roof and get some amazing views of the surrounding lands and the coastline.Great little place to eat called Seafood Cabin. Amazing food in a very bohemian setting. Also a great little shop called the Smokehouse where you can buy local fish, milk, paté etc.

Not only for castle but also for the whole area it’s beautiful…very Quiet and calm place.near to sea beach,near by one restaurant and a cow farm.it’s very good for a half day break.

Skipness Castle
A lovely little stop off after the ferry. Great views, and a nice little walk up from the car park to stretch the legs! Part of the castle still has a roof, but it's best enjoyed on a sunny (or at least dry) day. There is a smokehouse and little shop just outside, with some sweet gifts, ice cream, and some lovely smoked treats.
