I came to Banchory for a wedding from America and was worried the measurements not being accurate. Lee and Gavin were very helpful in showing us sources to measure the kilts properly and even anticipated errors I made. I showed up to the shop a day before the wedding for the fitting. Lee and Gavin were very friendly and provided a fun experience while getting situated. On top of it all the kilts fit like a glove with no adjustments necessary. It was my first time wearing a kilt and they made the experience unforgettable. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone needing a kilt, even if you come from abroad.

Used Deeside Kilts to buy an entire new kilt outfit for my wedding in June. Service was exceptional from start to finish. Genuine advice on what works / didn’t. Dealt with the various suppliers and made sure everyone was delivered and fitted well on time. No query was too much bother (and there was many)! Quality of everything was first class.Most importantly, a proper tailored service you don’t get close to from the “big boys” in the cities (speaking from previous experience) - here you’re a valued customer rather than a small number and that shows in the service and communication. Bonus that prices seemed pretty aligned, but good service is invaluable! Sure hire service is equally as good.Keep up the good work gents. Sure I’ll be back in for something else in the future (maybe a weathered to add to the growing collection...).

I had such a stellar experience at Deeside Kilts! The father and son who run the shop made my first kilt wearing experience forever memorable, especially since it was my mates wedding and first time to Scotland. They made sure everything fit perfect (even though the measurements were sent from the US), they informed me on how to properly put on and wear a kilt, and even gave me a little history about them. I highly recommend them for any occasion! Cheers

Lee is knowledgeable, personable, and a consummate professional. He takes a customer-led approach and always has a solution (or two, or four!) at hand. I needed an emergency kilt jacket, having found my own was too small, and in just 30 minutes had a hire outfit! Lee also spotted and corrected a sizing error with my sporran. A sales enquiry is now in the works. Truly first class service!

Lee was amazing to work with. I was really nervous for my fitting as a HEAVY set guy. He sent over a self measuring guide that was really easy to understand. I sent all my measurements by email. Lee managed to get all my measurements perfectly. The kilt fitted amazing. He taught us how to wear everything properly and really took that extra step in making sure I knew what I was doing.I would definitely return to Deeside Kilts when I am in need of another kilt.

These guys are great, the customer service level is 10/10 Lee is so friendly and kind. He made us feel important and he was always happy to help. Lee helped me organize 11 of my mates from California to get fitted for kilts. He was able to use his experience to help sort out these American boys who were unknowingly trying to wear mini skirts based on their self measurements.Lee was so attentive and helpful from day one and we cant thank him enough. It was a lot to take 11+ self measurements over email to have ready for the wedding. The Kilts fit great, looked amazing and were fantastic quality!They take pride in their work and it shows, I would 1000% recommend using Deeside Kilts!Lee is a Legend!!!

This place is an amazingly run and professional independent shop. The owners are brilliant to deal with and will go the extra mile for you. Good chat too if you're ever in, they're happy to chat and explain things and help you out. I'd recommend using them if anyone's in the deeside area as they were far better to deal with than the bigger places in Aberdeen.
