CK9 Training

So I have two Malinois', the male Sergeant is almost 1.5 years, and the female Valkyrie is almost a year. They were lacking in self-discipline when it came to toys, and especially with crate training and turn taking. Sergeant took his frustrations with turn taking out on my car, and Valkyrie would demand bark. Although they have both done obedience, when it came to working in the agility environment or any dog-sport environment like detection, they couldn't concentrate and struggled to focus on the tasks at hand. Sergeant wanted to play with every dog, and Valkyrie wanted every toy that belonged to other dogs, and her prey drive would kick in and she would chase rabbits, ducks, horses and other dogs. So it's been two months of working one-on-one with Chantal Karyta and the changes in both my dogs are amazing. They focus on me, they are far more obedient, they can sit on a mat and come individually when each is called and go back to the mat. They are calmer too. They now only take a toy when I ask them to, they have improved in turn taking while waiting in a crate and the demand barking is becoming increasingly a issue of the past. I am able to communicate what I want them to do and what I want from them. We are now able to work on an agility field, and in exciting environments. Chantal explains everything so well, and is able to communicate with me on exactly how to train my dogs in a successful way that actually works. So often, I hear of people leaving a training session, and not understanding what they've been taught, but Chantal is excellent in making sure all my questions are answered. No dog is perfect all the time, and they have slip ups, but Chantal also teaches you what to do when that happens and how to cope. Dog training can be frustrating and tiring, but she's made it a fun and encouraging experience instead!

As a first time dog’s mom I am forever grateful for what CK9 does in terms of training advice and not only. We attended puppy classes and had 121 sessions with Steve who is amazing. Not only did he help with Maya’s training but be always made sure that he encouraged us and reassured us that we are good pet parents. This for me was like a full package, as a puppy can be overwhelming and one always wonders if it’s doing a good job.I will definitely continue to attend different classes and have 121 as I am sure this will help Maya become a well behaved and happy dog.Thank you CK9 and big thank you to Steve too for being so good and passionate about what they do.

I can highly recommend CK9 training. Chantal and especially Alison has been so helpful to us. We have been waiting for years to get our first dog as adults, and decided we wanted to go full on and get a high drive energetic Dutch herder, we have been through many classes since we got her and done lots of training online, but getting hands on help from Alison and online help from Chantal has been invaluable to our learning! They've both had a much better understanding of our needs and been giving us some great tools to deal with some adolescent behaviour issues that we were struggling with. We still have lots to learn to get our timing right, as our dog is definitely faster than us and incredibly smart but seeing how far we've come since attending the classes has been so great and uplifting! We've really enjoyed Alisons' classes, everything gets tailored to each dogs' level and class has always had a very friendly and fun atmosphere. Alison understands that she is training people, not dogs, and is generally a really understanding and lovely calm person that we've enjoyed learning from. Looking forward to continuing training with the CK9 training team!

We have been with CK9 for almost 1 year attending agility sessions with Virginia who has been absolutely brilliant. Virginia has worked tirelessly to support our dog Roxie in her development as an agility dog and she is making great progress. Virginia is great at problem solving techniques when Roxie had struggles with aspects of the course which has helped us understand our dog even more. Virginia has also taught my daughter so much over the year as she is the handler for Roxie and she has learnt so much from Virginia through lots of support and encouragement, which has been such a positive experience for her. I would highly recommend CK9 to anyone who would like to pursue agility training with their dog.

Chantal has been a lifesaver while I’ve been raising my first (and now second) border collie puppy! Her puppy class is amazing and since then, she has helped me with me with multiple consults for both life skills at home and in sport. All her training is kind, compassionate and positive for both the dog and handler. She has made a huge difference in both my dogs’ lives.

We had been searching across Surrey and London for a really good puppy training provider. We had seen that CK9 had, had a lot of good reviews and so gave it a try.We were so impressed from the very first season, (virtually) to every single physical session in Banstead. Our trainer Rachel was amazing! Empathetic, proffesional, consistent in the standard and quality of training that was given and made each session feel really personal to us and our pup. We really could not fault Rachel's delivery and we really felt part of something, each week coming away with not just great training but a feeling of accomplishment and loved the social aspect of it. We loved it so much that we signed up for puppy part 2 immediately and have just had our last session.We are very sad to have the sessions come to an end but 100% wanting to continue with any other training appropriate for our Pup.I could not recommend a better training provider or individual trainer. Chantal is an amazing trainer and we can’t recommend her highly enough. From helping us over 7 years ago with our puppy to then saving us with our Romanian rescue recently (when other trainers had given up) - it’s because of her we still have our Mia. She has an abundance of patience. Is incredibly knowledgeable and most of all is completely understanding that we aren’t trainers and are just pet owners so her tasks and instructions always take into account your own circumstances and ways of working. We honestly thought we would have to give up on Mia but Chantal saw what others didn’t and her training (and all done virtually too, which was amazing) got us through. CK9 will always be our first port of call for any of our training needs - thank you from the bottom of our hearts Chantal

We've done classes with CK9 since our dog Pickle was very little. We first did puppy classes with Rachel who is an amazing trainer - patient, fun, constructive and so supportive. Now we do agility classes with Virginia every week. Virginia is incredible, clearly loves dogs and dogs love her! Her classes are amazing. Dogs and owners learn so much and it's such a lovely atmosphere seeing all the dogs learning and developing week to week. She really gets the best out of every dog (and dog parents!). We look forward to them every week.

Chantal’s lessons really helped us when we got our puppy. Due to Covid we did one on one virtual sessions with her and they were great, worth every penny. She really helped us get organised and get the right things in place for a successful start! Her tips on everything from crate training to toys and chew sticks were excellent and the training info she gave us really lay great foundations for a well behaved dog. We also recently had an in-person one on one training with Keith, one of the CK9 trainers and that was great too. I highly recommend CK9 training.

Five Stars all the way for CK9 Training. Highly recommend this company for the various training classes that they have to offer. We attend the agility classes with our very lively dog Delilah and the trainer Virginia is fantastic. Our dog simply has so much fun at the agility class and is learning all the time and this is all thanks to Virginia and her patience, enthusiasm and expertise. We know how much our dog enjoys this class and we know she has exercise in a safe and secure environment . A fantastic class to attend and really highly recommend and thank Virginia for this.Currently attending the scent course with Debbie and she is very friendly and professional and knowledgeable trainer and is enthusiastic and helps all the attendees on the course and has helped our dog learn new skills. We find this scent course a great additional class for our dog has it helps her to have a calmer approach when taking part and feel it compliments the agility class.This company offers several different workshops and we have attended a couple of them as well, would recommend this dog training company to anyone who is looking for courses for their dogs as every trainer who works there are very approachable, friendly and offers advice and you find you are learning so much yourself as well as training for your dog.Personally feel so pleased we managed to find this company so our dog can have be learning new skills and having fun whilst doing so.
