Hometelecom have disconnecting my broadband today despite my service not being due to finish until early January leaving me with no broadband connection. Their resolve is that they will stop billing from today rather than fix the problem. I now have no internet access for several weeks due to their poor administration. Luckily I don’t work from home. Unprofessional and poor customer service.

if I could give them less stars I would. we were looking to move into a property didn't end up getting it. but they still sent out an engineer to the property to instal a router, even after the multiple calls saying that I have not got the property and them telling us they will cancel it every time I called, they still took out £140 putting me into overdraft, as a working student you can imagine how stressful this made me.after calling them they said that they couldn't find the calls I had made and saying that they will make an investigation and get back to me in 3-5 business days. after I told them that I didn't have money for food now or a way to get to work they told me there's nothing that they can do. strongly advise any other company.

Absolutely terrible!!! Do not ever go with them. I waited 21 days and they still haven't put my order through. They charged me extra for an early connection as well and did not pay that back. I tried to cancel they tried to say they will send me an emergency Mobile broadband dongle but I got 2 empty envelopes! The woman I had spoken to twice about tracking my order had no clue whatsoever and no sympathy or empathy. She put me on hold 3-4 times and didn't give me clear information.I have had a nightmare trying to sort it and trying to leave. Biggest mistake I did was to try and join them.

If I could give this company a zero I would. Do NOT trust them. Firstly, they sign you up with a service provider and then charge MUCH more than what the service provider would have charged if you went to them directly. Secondly, they don’t tell you that they don’t register your name as the account holder with the service provider. Instead, Home Telecom registers with the service provider under their own name without telling you they’re doing this. So when you call the service provider (in my case Virgin Media), the SP has no record of an account under your name. So when I required technical support, Virgin couldn’t help me and told me to contact Home Telecom, which supposedly has its own technical support team. Not so. All that team does is tell you to call Virgin Media. I spent five hours being shunted around. Then when you try and cancel they just have excuses. Atrocious customer service and dishonest.

I wish I could give less starts. They’ve been extremely difficult to work with and after I cancelled my contract 3 months they’ve kept taking payments every month and are now claiming I haven’t cancelled my contract. Despite me sending off the router months ago. There’s been issues with them from the start. I do not recommend. It was my own naive fault for joining them without research but it was my first time out in the world and they seemed to know that. Too expensive. Unhelpful.

Terrible, I have been stuck in a contract with this company for years I have tried to switch on several occasions but getting through to anyone regarding ending the contract seems impossible. I was offered a new router as apparently that was the problem for receiving low speeds but in my opinion its just got worse since. I can't have more than 4 things online at once and trying to stream anything is a nightmare. I have been trying for days to reach out to someone at home telecom, live chat, emails, calls/requests back and nothing! I have been understanding as I know they probably don't want to loose my custom so instead of leaving I have been trying to get the issues with my broadband resolved and still absolute radio silence from the company

This is a SCAM!Don't Go Near Them.This internet provider is a nightmare. They send engineers who don't know the necessary engineering. I am waiting for the last 5 days for my internet to work, but it doesn't. When I call them, their people on the helpline say they cannot do anything. They will see if someone is available for help by the next day and their next day" doesn't arrive any soon. I'm loosing money everyday due to these people. I strongly suggest everyone who's trapped by their marketing strategies (which are excellent)

The company charges left and right. I was supposed to have an engineer come on the 25/08 to install everything. The company called me after that date to say that there is a mistake in the address and the installation date needs to be moved (not to mention that they have been using my surname with a mistake in it this whole time). Okay, we moved the date to 07/09. On the day no one came, no one called me on the phone no one called the buzzer at the door, and I get a £150 missing appointment charge. I was at home! I have been trying to dispute that charge for almost a month, with them also adding the charge to cancel my contract. The customer care team may sound helpful and pleasant on the phone, but after the call finished you can expect no updates on the investigation and unexplained emails with extra charges. To call the customer support team expect to free up about 2 hours of your time in a day, because you will be on hold most of the time. A month I’ve been using my mobile data at home because they failed to put a ‘4’ in front of the first line of the address and charged me for ‘missing my appointment’. Worst mistake of my life was answering their initial call when I signed the contract.

It's been a month now with no technical issues. The connection speed has been stable..The problem is we feel like we were tricked into taking this contract instead of sky that we were planning on taking on. The device came almost a week after the golive date and by then when we wanted to cancel but we were told that it's too late. Guess now we stuck in this 18 month contract.. The final straw is that we were supposed to be paying £43 per month.. The bill that came today was for more than double with charges that are ambiguous. I forgot to mention that the staff is also very unkind and difficult to get into contact with.The customer experience was really not a pleasant one at all.I would not recommend this company unfortunately.Update:5 months in and still no technical issues and the connection has been stable. I've also not required any support so my mind is unchanged when it comes to their customer support. I'll update this review again after the first year.
