I'm deeply sorry to say that this was the worst haircare experience I ve ever had.I went for balayage. The first day I ended up with a dark black/red hair without a single highlight. I was shocked bcs I was there for so many hours waiting for a balayage! Of course I told her that I can't see a single highlight and although at first she tried to tell me that there are.. But they are well covered (!!) then she realized her mistake and asked me to come again for a new balayage!! At this point I paid £115 for nothing (!!!) to waste 5 hours on balayage without having it. With the promise that we will achieve the balayage on the second try!!! I also have to say that on that day I was completely let down, I waited 2 hours with the highlights in my hair, with no explanation. I suspect he could see the effect of the highlights if he did some quick checks on their process.So I went for the second attempt ending up in a kind of even worse result. A completely strange result. With literally 4 almost gray highlights on dark brown hair and a mixture of different colors. Extremely disappointing. I can tell you that I have done balayage many times and no one was like this. Too bad, too bad. It is a great disappointment and I'm really sorry for my hair and my time.I don't know if this happened only to my because it was a bad day of the hairdresser or 2 bad days.. But the result is awful and unacceptable for a posh hair salon in Stockbridge.

I've been getting my hair done by Mariusz for the past 6 years and he's always nailed every style I've asked for. I don't trust anyone to do my hair unless it's him ☺️ just did a balayage today and I'm so happy with the result! He's super friendly and always willing to answer any questions I have. I explained what I was and wasn't interested in getting and he knew exactly what to do + my hair was left feeling amazing by the end. I always recommend him (and will continue to do so!) to any of my friends looking for either a cut or colour :)

This is the best hairdresser in Edinburgh after 6 years of soul searching I find Mario who knows exactly how I prefer my hair cut, coloured and styled......he's fabulous.

This is a fantastic salon with extremely competent staff. I've been going to Lynne Herbert for several years and she is the best in town! She carefully and meticulously colours my hair in a way that makes me look my very best (not easy to do as I have long and thick, yet fine hair). She is also a terrific conversationalist - I cannot wait to see her and hear about her wonderful travels or chats about life in Scotland. She is a true artist and expert at what she does. Other staff members (e.g., Jamie) are lovely as well and I always enjoy my time at this salon. Go here, you won't regret it :)
