Seaham is a great place to visit, the whole seafront offers something for everyone. It’s not a traditional seaside with amusements and funfairs. It’s just a long seafront with plenty of free parking, shops and places to eat. It’s very tidy, interesting bits to look at and worth exploring. The harbour has a great beach and sheltered from the waves. Noses point is great, with some interesting parts that has been featured in films and series. The reason my Mrs goes a fair bit is for the sea glass, it’s everywhere if you look. There is history in why it’s there, it’s worth a read if you have any interest.Lots of people go to get sea glass, it’s something everyone can do. You’ll see people walking with their heads down the full length of the beach (we call them beach zombies) but we are as bad. It’s fun finding the different colours. Clear, green and amber are the main colours, blue and red are tricky to find. There is also pirate glass , again, read up. It looks like a black pebble, but take a bright torch, and it could be glass. My wife makes pictures for friends and family, she loves making them.

Took kids for a splodge in the sand. Shop for ice creams had closed, but a passing ice-cream van pulled into the car park to rescue us. On approach, the gentleman driver commented he was finished for the day, but put his ganja cigarette to one side to serve us anyway. Managed to get home without any ganja fumes from the lolly wrappers affecting my driving.

I'm not sure how you rate a car park, but for one, this car park is situated very conveniently fir those travelling to Seaham to hunt glass. There is a bus stop directly outside for users of public transport & there is ample parking for all types of vehicles of every size. There's also a cafe there fir a quick bite or drink when coming off the beach. If anything, its location is ideal and it's always well maintained. The slope to the beach is steep, but it's stepped with railings.

Seaham Beach, also know as Glass Beach has great free parking meaning your visit is easier all around. We found some lovely sea glass in lots of colours (not just green and clear) and fossils on the beach including an ammonite nodule, a piece of broken ammonite and some coral. Need to keep a sharp lookout though.

Free car park just outside of Seaham. Easy access to the beach steps going down. The beach here is not wheelchair or pram accessible as there are only the steps going down. Plenty of parking spaces. There is a cafe there with toilets.

Perfectly situated car park with ample parking. Fantastic that it's also free. There's a handy cafe for refreshments on site. Lots of benches. The steps down to the beach are a little steep but have secure railings to help guide you up & down safely.

Park up here and take in the tranquility of the sea. Beautiful place to just sit and absorb the atmosphere of our beautiful ocean. She never disappoints.Plenty of parking spaces on offer so you shouldn't struggle for someone to park your car. Depending on the weather depends on whether you dare get out your car and go for a little wander just down the steps to the caves.Visit here very often. Its one of my favourite places in the local area.

Plenty of space to park and manoeuvre. Lovely views and kept very clean. Beach is a joy but could be difficult to access for those less mobile due to steps and ramps.
