Winter Hill
Glorious hike round the Winter Hill and Rivington Pike circuit.Snow made it a little marshy in areas where the ground had thawed but no trouble in walking boots. Fab views in all directions and very quiet!

Great walk up Winter hill, specially on a warm day. Take cold drink or water with you, so you don't get dehydrated. Well worth the walk, you can rest at the top. You can walk down through the style coming down, it's a good hour back to the car park, unless you go back on your self. Its a leg stretcher, and will keep you fit.

Brilliant place for a walk. You can walk to white coppice, Great Hill and Anglezarke. Lovely walk with some fantastic views.Well worth a visit.

Nice walk, but dog owners don't control their dogs and let them walk without a lead. Nearly got bit by a German shepherd on multiple occasions. Owners weren't bothered. I can't come up here anymore because I'm on blood thinners. If I get injured or bit, I can't stop the bleeding. Loose untrained dogs ruin the area for people.

Freezing cold and quiet with stunning views. In the distance you can see Snowdonia and Liverpool docks to one side, the Peak District on the other and Manchester City centre in between.

I love Winter Hill, especially early morning, late evening/night, or in bad weather! Lots of ways up & down. Many fps/ tracks & trods to follow
