Arrived in Morecambe by train to do Way of the Roses. Dropped by to find a friendly bike mechanic to check my shifter needing a minor adjustment. The member of staff said he was busy…I was the only customer…and not open, well, the door was open! Not willing to even have a look at problem or help a bona fide cyclist on a trip…terrible attitude. On yer bike! I will not return (shifter is now fixed)

Very friendly, Informed staff. Could answer my questions quickly enough. Had my bike in for a broken headset and it was replaced with a superior part, thanks to the staff at On Yer Bike and it was done quickly and efficiently.

Bought my bike from these guys a few months ago! The bike itself is excellent, but the staff went above and beyond helping me to find a bike to suit my needs - the saleswoman I spoke to even had an understanding of my disability, which is a first! I had a couple of issues when I first received my bike due to a loose torque sensor, but they were incredibly helpful and quick to sort it. Cannot recommend them enough, best bike shop in Lancaster hands down

It’s not often I am this impressed with customer service. What a great knowledgeable gentleman who clearly knows what he is doing.This will certainly be my go-to place for bike purchases and servicing from now on!

This is an extremely overdue review. We had driven for over an hour to start a cycle in Lancaster. And then… there was an issue with one of the bikes. So… we rang up here and the man was really friendly and said yes of course bring it over - just a 5 minute walk from Sainsbury’s car park we took the bike. To save us even having to enter the store he came out immediately with some tools, fixed the problem in 5 minutes. AMAZING! We then asked how much and he said ‘nothing’ - thank you sooo much! You saved our Lancaster cycle ride. If we’re ever in the area again we will definitely come to you for an bike issues. I can 100% recommend this place! Us fellow welshmen look after each other! Thank You!

As a bike mechanic I was appalled at how they’ve dealt with a customer. Their customer service was just disgusting, talking down to a customer, quite aggressively too, and to add insult to injury attempting to charge for an inspection of a part which was only ever asked for a second opinion on, and told to pay up after inspecting rather than saying beforehand that it would cost. Never have I known any reputable bike shop try on this kind of behaviour, I personally have had 10/15 min chats with mechanics in a shop just to discuss ideas for niche problems in working on, and not once have I ever been billed for time. From what I’ve witnessed I’ll be avoiding using On Yer Bikes for anything, I walked in, witnessed that, and walked out.

I've literally never had such a bad customer service experience at any shop in my life, let alone any bike shop.I had punctured only a few hundred metres away from the shop this morning and I had struggling to get enough air into my tyres to seat the tyre properly and so when riding it felt very wobbly and unpleasant. Rather than go home, I popped into the shop to borrow a track pump. I also wanted to have a look and see what the shop was like as I'm new to the area and need my bike serviced!Immediately upon entering the shop I was met with a cold attitude and when I asked if I could use a track pump, the mechanic rolled his eyes at me, audibly sighed and said fine but I needed to bring my bike into the shop and he had to do it. Fine. After pumping up the first time, the tyre still hadn't seated and I asked if he might be able to try again for me. When he replied that he had already done what I had asked him to do and he did not want to do it again. I was a little taken aback by his attitude and asked if there was a problem when he told me that people buy everything online for their bikes and just come into bike shops expecting freebies. I'm not really sure what his problem was considering most bike shops have a track pump outside the shop for people to use. We got into a short argument, something I have never ever had with someone in a shop before as a customer. I have 2 bikes waiting to be serviced which require a mechanic and not the magical internet but I will never ever be coming to this shop ever again. I imagine business is slow here due to the fact this man can't have a conversation like a normal human being.

Great service and great range of bikes, will definitely be returning.

The shop is really let down by the lack of tools and ability to preform fairly basic cycle repair.The manager / mechanic Arron, is a nice helpful chap and very knowledgeable but is let down by not being provided with basic tools such as a punch, bleed kits etc. I've just picked up my bike after agreeing work to be completed 2 weeks ago on booking, today half the job couldn't be done because they didn't have punch that probably cost about a fiver. This is the second time this has happened. My afternoon will be taken up completing the work that should of been done by On Yer Bike.I don't often do reviews but I'm a bit frustrated, I'll likely go back but only because the manager seems genuine.
