Alexander's Hair Studio - Grove

I have been a regular customer and I get my own hair done here as well as my children’s. I felt that enough trust had been built up to have my hair coloured here however, the most recent visit was disappointing and I don’t feel like I can go back. I left the salon without a complaint as I wasn’t sure if my hair could grow on me however, after reviewing my hair I found it wasn’t what I asked for, it didn’t look professionally done, and the hair was damaged. My hair was dramatically different to what it was before and it wasn’t going to be an easy fix to get it toned down. I was disappointed but the worst part of the experience was not being taken seriously. I was told that the issue wasn’t with the hairdresser, it was with me. They didn’t have an available appointment for well over a month to try and fix it and I just felt like they didn’t want to try and work with me. I was sent an email by the manager with a list of fees I needed to pay to get it fixed. I tried my best not to offend anyone, but I guess my mistake was paying for the service in the first place.

This is the second time I come here to get my hair done with Kayleigh… She was very professional and friendly throughout my time at the salon (the whole experience is so much better when you have a nice person to talk to). Excellent cut - it turned out better than what I had in mind!

After a few years of having a home hairdresser, I re-visited Alexander's Hair Studio to have my hair cut for the first time in 16 months, I was greeted with the same warm welcome as always, lovely girls, all of them, and I was lucky to have been booked in with Andrea at short notice, she's just amazing, the same smile and warmth, instantly put me at ease, she listened and understood exactly what I wanted and I'm just so happy I made the decision to go. I'm not sure how often I'll be going back for future cut and blow drys but while I live in the area I will always go to Alexander's, I enjoyed my visit and felt very welcome and I am really pleased with my hair cut and style. Andrea and Becky provided amazing hair-styling for my wonderful bridesmaids and I on my wedding day. They made us all feel relaxed and talked through with us the looks we wanted. They were friendly, professional, punctual and I cannot recommend them enough. They helped make the big day special.Thank you so much.

Great service at a reasonable price. Nice staff, no waiting and pleased with the result.. currently the best place I've found. I paid £17.50 for a men's trim.

First time customer-My hair looks amazing!! This salon and the people working there are awesome!Kayleigh was the stylist that took care of me and she did a fabulous job, highly recommend.She made me feel very comfortable and cared for. All my questions were answered and my requests were listened to as well.Tea was on tap and I couldn't have asked for better service.Cannot rave enough about Andrea and her team! Had my nais and eyelashes extensions,the Nails gel on friday morning the girl is lovely but her work is really not professional already one nail already broken on saturday and the other removed on Monday,and the shape os really horrible qome are biger than others and some are large totally different than what i have showed her hope i could post pictures so you can see themBad experience

Such a lovely experience this afternoon! I had a full head of highlights, and a cut and blow dry with Jojo, who she was absolutely brilliant - so professional and skilful. My hair looks fantastic, and it was really nice to have a relaxed afternoon being treated! Becky did a cracking job of hair washing and keeping me up together! Thank you so much ladies, I’m delighted!
