Very pleased with the work done by the Bakers team at Holy Cross Church in Basildon. Work was tidy and considerate to church and churchyard users throughout. Was also carried out to schedule despite some additional work being included.

Have used Bakers over many years. Really pleased with recent roof work. Efficient,professional and helpful team. Happy to recommend and will certainly use again.

Excellent service from Bakers in a major refurbishment of a 200 year old listed church building. Their choice of specialist subcontractors was very good and the whole team were extremely helpful and professional.

It is very rare to find a builder a builder as concerned about the quality and finish of your build as you are. Bakers have a highly skilled team that work in tandem to make sure you get a perfect finish. I can’t recommend them enough.

If you can get anyone else please do.I was moved out when they did the works to my house.The works they did have been disgusting and I have had an independent surveyor in who gave a bad report and recommended that the work be redone and they have ignored it .Here's their quality work that they have done and the crack running up the centre of the wall after they plastered and painted they won't fill and paint over. The staircase is awful and was not done properly.If I could give minus stars I would.

We used Bakers of Danbury for a variety of jobs on our home. They gave us estimates which they adhered to, kept us informed as to probable start dates, turned up on time, did the work to a good standard, and cleared up after themselves. Added to which, all the workers were polite and pleasant.I would recommend this firm without hesitation.

We were very happy with all the aspects of Bakers' work on the project. Communication over dates and timing was managed without a problem. The quality of their work was excellent, and the team on site were helpful and knowledgeable. Thaxted Parish Church, Essex.

Bakers were appointed to do our house insurance repairs (internal & external cracks). The total experience has been dreadful. Bakers have appointed a project manager to organise the various trades.PROJECT MANAGEMENT: They stripped all the rooms at once and then we had to wait weeks/months until the decorators arrived. They removed all radiators in September and we had to chase continuously for them to be reinstalled before Christmas. We needed the project to be completed by end April. So far this year they have done 5.5 days work.QUALITY SKILLED TRADES: Bakers appoint general labourers to do skilled work like exterior rendering. So far they have redone the render 3 times and it’s still poor quality. They have relaid a balcony roof as the corner of the house had dropped. The water does not drain away but pools. The wallpaperer did not know how to fit thermal lining paper and left gaps in the paper creating rides. The paper is now falling off. The quality of all the work except the painter is incredibly bad.I phone / email / send photos now daily but the response is slow and really disappointing.
