Welcome to The Galloway Arms Hotel | The Galloway Arms Hotel is a heritage listed, quality 10 bedroom hotel lying midway between the town centres of Castle Douglas and Dumfries. These towns are 18 miles apart, so that Crocketford over the years became fondly referred to as ‘The Nine Mile Bar’. We are a family owned and managed heritage hotel in the heart of South West Scotland, benefiting from a rural location which is also central.

Galloway Arms Hotel
Dropped in for the evening twice, first time for drinks and a bowl of chips, second time for a meal. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The bar team also look after any food requests. The food is very good and reasonablypriced. There were 8 of us, including a vegetarian and vegan; we were all catered for, all satisfied. We stayed nearby in a cottage, so can't review the hotel side of the business.

We had a lovely meal in the galloway arms, staff were friendly and helpful, prices reasonable with great service, they cater for children and the menu with lots of options, lovely clean restaurant and highly recommend, right near brandedleys caravan park

Stopped for Sunday lunch on our way to Ayr. We hadn't booked but we were quickly seated and our dog was very welcome. The best Roast Beef dinner I have had in ages, really tender meat and everything piping hot!

Galloway Arms Hotel
We visited on the way back from visiting family and I’ve driven past it several times before. A really warm welcome in a homely place with no frills. We had 3 courses and they were all amazing. Tastiest soup we’ve ever had, very good lasagne and the burger was delicious. Really good portion sizes and very reasonably priced. Will 100% be back when we’re next passing.

We enjoyed a very pleasant meal here yesterday with friends. Quality, service and value for money where the key elements of our experience in warm and cosy surroundings. My pint of Best was excellent. My first visit and it won't be my last.

Popped in for evening meal as visiting the area.Wow !Food was amazing, even the wife polished off main AND ordered dessert (she never does that) and not expensive eitherService was great, lass behind bar smiling despite being busy.Definitely worth stopping bt if you're in the area.

Amazing roast beef. We only stayed for a meal, but it was warm, welcoming, great service, and the food was super! A welcome stop for a weary traveller.
