The service I’m receiving from this embassy is appalling. The incompetency of this commission has resulted in being almost unemployed.I don’t know who’s right idea was it to introduce biometric passports. Most people in the Uk and Ireland do not need biometric passports when we are getting our passports renewed. I am living in Ireland and the commission has closed down the Dublin embassy for whatever reason. And we are expected to travel to London to renew our passports and get fingerprints, Surely with the commissioners degrees and common knowledge of international travelling law, they must understand you can’t expect us to travel to another country if our passports are being held in that very country. And UK travelling law won’t allow you to stay in the country if your passport expires three months after your visit. And there is several loopholes to acquiring a UK visa nowadays with their restrictive immigration laws.I have emailed the commission several times that my Irish work permit will be expired and I need an in date passport to renew my work permit. The fact that the I have been getting automated responses is shocking. This is people livelihood at stake here. All I need is a non biometric passport to be issued out to meThis quite easily the worst customer service I have received, the level of incompetency is grave.I about to lose my job and income as a result of my own country’s incompetency and lack of organization. If the commission really do care about their foreign citizens take action and stop ruining people’s lives.I simply asked for a non- biometric passport but seems to be such as difficult ask for this organization.I cannot wait any longer for the Dublin office to open, my job and livelihood will be massively affected. If the commission cares about their citizens they will take actions now.To makes things worse I applied for a renewal 3 months before my passport actually expires and with the commissions incompetency, I am still massively affected. From my experience with this commission I wouldn’t recommend travelling to Ghana as you will be massively disappointed by the commissions services. This is sad for me as well as I know all Ghanaians are very very nice people but this isn’t the right way for us to be represented. Thanks for reading my review.

Online process is slow. So many unnecessary requirements, online help chat agents are always offline, responses are slow. Below average and extremely disappointing.

I got to the high commission very late. To my surprise they received me well treated me nicely and professionally, they did not make any fuss though I was late and well outside my allocated time. I am very very grateful and they deserve praise. Thank you Ghana High Commision London. You have exceeded all my expectations.

My experience was great. I don't have any issues with the service i received though it's time consuming. The only thing is the guy in the counter has got a bit of rude attitude. I think he does that without knowing.

I had a smooth experience renewing my passport. The help I received when I made a mistake on my application was reassuring. The staff at the Ghana High Commission were professional and kind. The electronic number system in use made the process orderly.I will suggest that you arrive with the pre-addressed envelope that they recommend on the website. It will save you time.I'd recommend to the Ghana High Commission that the pre-addressed envelope be added to the checklist of things to bring with the applicant to the site.

The services rendered there with regard to passport application is really fast and convenient.BUT there's this staff who attended to me in cubicle 2 on 12th October, 2023 to check my documents when i applying passport for my baby girl. This staff is sooooo unprofessional and RUDE. In fact, I wish I could use hash words to describe him but no need for that.He first talked thrash to my wife and when my wife complained to me, I silenced her and told her this is Ghana High Commission, our only backbone in UK here so she should love it. Just for me to go to this same staff to ask him question and how this empty bald headed guy shouted at me to go and sit down.Hmmm! This guy needs to be sacked. He's a disgrace to the Ghana High Commission, UK.

I have never met such disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude people in my entire life. The guy I met behind counter 5 on the 14th of August at 1:30pm was hateful, disdainfully rude, cheeky, and very disrespectful. I wonder why he feels so proud behind that pigeonhole he calls an office. They were making noisy phone calls in Twi while serving clients, and couldn't even respond to a simple 'Hello'. Plus, the only thing they do is gossip and insult customers who have left the building, it's disgusting. I wonder how such a bunch of misfits were employed in this institution. I deeply regret ever visiting that office. And sincerely, I pray that would be my last.I calmly decided to complain to some of the heads and was shocked at the response I received, they told me to 'forgive' and accept an apology from them instead. After asking what measures were in place, they told me they worked together as a team and will find a way to talk to that rude man later.

I never write Google reviews, but nothing goes smoothly when dealing with Ghanaians it seems. The move from in-person to solely online visa applications has been a terrible idea. The online application form is awful. The user interface is poor, buttons don’t work, I spent a whole day trying to upload files to support my application. Instructions on how to post are unclear. There is too much repetition involved in the process. Either you make people send a hard copy or you request a digital copy - why make us do both? And don’t bother with the phone lines - they will send you round in circles then transfer you to a dead line where you won’t hear anything but silence. Seriously it was better when it was in person. Looking back I’d rather spend hours in Highgate waiting for my ticket to be called without all this kerfuffle and know that the application is done and dusted, than have to spend days working on a visa because the website is absolutely useless and there is no IT support available. I wonder how older people with limited computer knowledge can manage this by themselves.Either reopen your embassy for people to do walk-in applications as well as online, or if you are truly unwilling then FIX your website and make the online process easier to navigate and more streamlined. Right now it’s a joke

Farcical beyond belief. Mr Bean would be proud of their process and systems. Take a strong dose of patience before starting this Herculean task. Cleaning the Augean stables surely would have been easier than maintaining your sanity through-out their visa process.Their visa process requires a half baked hard-copy version and half baked digital version. Why not just have a clear and simple hard-copy version if you can't afford the digital infrastructure?Through out their very laborious process, they ask for odd questions like the GPS co-ordinates of your workplace, even though you have already provided the workplace address in a previous answer. The process also asks duplicate questions with spelling mistakes. Presumably, a spell checker was too much effort. One of my favourite questions was 'provide your signature on a piece of paper - ensure it is 250px by 50px'. This is despite signing multiple times through-out the hard-copy process. The website, at best, is clumsy. The website designers seem overly proud of their work (not sure why) given that the company name is on the website footers on every page. These days, it's a cliche to say 'digital transformation' but believe me, the Ghana High Commission could do with a dose of it. Their phone systems are non existent although I did appreciate Golda's input from the 'chat here' functionality from time to time. I felt that we struck up a friendship given the amount of questions I posed her. She was always incredibly confident that everything would be just fine despite mountains of evidence suggesting the opposite. In the end, I got the documents that I needed in time (so, thank you for that) but it's a dreadful process that must surely put some prospective tourists off from the hassle. Getting a tourist visa should never be this difficult. Formalise a simple, standard, hard copy version that folks can use in the interim period until you have the ability to create a (much) more refined digital version.Please.
