Laughable5.30pm table on a Friday when the kitchen first opened for the evening.Seated outside at a table with compost on (we cleaned up) which wasn't an ideal start. Fish and fizz on Friday deal still advertised on the website was no longer being offered. Moved inside to eat and ordered two fillet steaks written up on the 'today's specials board'. Waitress returned from the kitchen to say there was no fillet steak (This however remained written up on the specials board throughout the evening). We asked if they could swap it to Sirloin, waitress returned to say that wasn't an option. Ordered a sirloin steak with fries and a classic burger. Waitress returned from the kitchen to say they had no burgers. Ordered two sirloin steak with fries. Waitress served us Sirloin steaks with thick chips and said she wasn't told there were no fries. Ordered 2nd round of drinks which came out wrong and had to be corrected. Charged full price for the pleasure of this experience with no hint of anything complimentary or discount off the bill.2 stars as the food we could finally order was good and the pub building and garden are very nice, unfortunately the rest of the experience was poor.A rare opportunity for us to go out for a nice meal with our baby boy as a family and time that we won't get back. This was our second visit and the second time we have been disappointed for similar reasons. There are plenty of other options in Suffolk and unfortunately we will never return.

Fantastic!! 6 adults and 2 kids left with full tummies and big smiles! Possibly one of the best Sunday Roasts I have ever had.Staff couldn't have been more pleasant and antentive. We have been meaning to come here for a while and they didn't disappoint. We will be coming back for sure.

It was disappointing. The menu, chef & management had all changed.Consequently, what we ordered was not as described on the menu. When this was queried, at first, the explanation was defensive & unsatisfactory. An alternative was offered. However, we were asked after the rest of our party had eaten their mains. Which was too late.We were offered free deserts, which was a nice gesture. The food was cooked very well. Sadly, the lack of communication when taking our orders and attentive service made for a disappointing meal.

Visited for a Sunday lunch and the food and service were amazing. The portions were very generous and Louise our server was amazing, very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

Nice enough pub. Has an outdoor area. Ordered the special pie, chicken and chorizo. Good flavour. Home made chips and roasted carrots were also good.

A very nice gastro pub situated in the beautiful town of Woodbridge. Stunning walks and rustic aesthetic, this small town is well worth a visit. The Turks Head was a great place to stop for dinner with beautiful surroundings and clean, modern interior. It was a homely environment with a relaxing atmosphere.Service was slow to start but acceptable towards the end, with a great addition of the service team singing happy birthday to us as the desert came with a candle and a free glass of sparkling wine for the birthday boy. A beautiful touch that made our evening all the more special. The menu was superb. Small yet diverse, utilising locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The starter, chicken strips, had to be the best chicken dish I can recall having. The perfectly seasoned panné was phenomenal with so much flavour, and crispiness. The chicken was moist and delicious and the most delightful coleslaw you’ve ever tasted. The main, a burger, was a flavour masterpiece of amazingly seasoned, perfectly cooked steak haché. Bacon, onion jam and cheese complimented each other exquisitely alongside the amazing pickled slaw.Desert, even with the added birthday treat, was a master peace of culinary skills. A perfect, Tonka bean brûlée and delicious plumb crumble finished the meal with great finesse. This pub was unfortunately let down by it’s very poor wine list. This for me, however, wasn’t a problem as I was drinking beer. One of the best gastro pub meals I’ve had in a very long time. Chef Rob really knows his food and can deliver superb quality.I highly recommend you to try his food; you will not be disappointed.

I'm so disappointed. This was a special occasion, where some parties had travelled miles, stayed overnight locally, and had paid for a taxi to travel to the pub.It had, up until now, had a good reputation for food.It was very poor on Saturday. The main concern was that the dish I ordered did not come as described. When I queried this, I was told that I had been informed (upon entry) that there were no steaks and there was a new chef. I'd ordered sausage and mash! So, on the menu, the description was special sausages, creamy mash, red wine jus, roast sage, buttered leeks, cabbage, and crackling. I was sold. I love crackling. I had asked if the crackling would be crispy. I was told it would be.What arrived was sausages, mash, gravy, and kale. Not the same at all. There were other issues. However, the staff did try to make it up after I stated that I didn't want the dish I was served. I ended up not eating a main, as by the time I was asked what else I'd like, the others in the party had finished eating. The pub has apparently changed ownership or management. The chain are going to lose out, if it is not rectified quickly. It was an expensive day out, for a very poor meal and experience.

Great service and great atmosphere, only just setting up so a few items on the menu not available yet but the food was delicious and will definitely be going back again.
