George Rain (and Oliver the founder) is a wonderful jewellers and the shop is a real delight. The care and craft of Oliver's work is great and I would thoroughly recommend him.One just needs to be reminded that there are extremely talented craftspeople right on your doorstep that would provide a far better, more personal and honest service for much the same money as a throw-away trinket. It's obviously not an everyday event but I am looking forward to the next opportunity I have cause to commission him.

I had jewellery left to me from my parents and with George Rain guidance and expertise, we came up with a bangle design utilising the gold and stones. The finished product is stunning. They have been so helpful. My bangle is stylish and modern. Would recommend George Rain. excellent service and also beautiful pieces for sale in store. one very happy customer.

What an amazing guy and business this is. Just repaired my wife's engagement ring and took so much care and effort to get it right. Very few craftsmen around anymore. Just encouraged to buy new. My wedding ring needed some adjustments and a quick repair. My 30 year wedding anniversary is this coming Monday and the thought of not having on my finger was unthinkable. I took the ring to his shop this this morning and I have it back already beautifully repaired and polished. I can’t rate this service more highly….thank you!

I brought in a necklace that the catch needed repairing. They were able to do this there and then when I entered the shop and was fixed within 5 minutes. They didn't even charge for this to my amazement!
