Just returning from there now, my first experience of buying a bow and couldn’t be happier. Martin was fantastic and I felt fully relaxed and confident in my purchase. Incredible!Friendly team who are very knowledgeable! Beginners course is fantastic, and their bow build service really explains the different parts of the bow and what you need.The range excellent, and the outdoor space is great in the summer

I recently bought a recurve bow for my son from Chiltern Archery and the service we received in store was awesome. Martin took the time to explain all the options and let us tailor the package the way my son wanted it. I also bought myself a bow online not long after and Martin called to confirm the items I had ordered and shipped them quickly and safely.

Martin, the owner of Chiltern Archery was an absolute pleasure to work with. I am very happy with the provided service and products given. I am surely going back for upgrades, tuning, and maybe training in the summer.For any new archer coming from London, I suggest paying a visit to Chiltern Archery when getting your first bow setup. They have a limb exchange program which is a massive help for starters who want to improve.You can take the train to Aylesbury from Marylebone, and then a 61/62/500 bus going to Combined School. From there, their establishment is only a 10 minute walk. A total of 1.5 hours of travel time from London each way.

The equipment is very complete, you can find everything you need for archery here, staff patient and friendly. My friend also had a tasting lesson here and Mark was very thorough and patient. Spent a lovely morning here, thank you!

Coming back to archery after about 20 years. Martin provided just the right level of advice and recommendations without any pushy salesmanship. Also love the limb exchange option to gradually work up to suitable draw weight limbs without the high cost of buying new each time. Looking forward to trying out my new kit. :)

I will start by saying I am a novice. I have recently completed a beginner course with Towcester Archery Club who recommended to purchase any bows and equipment, from Chiltern Archery and I couldn't not be happier with my initial contact and purchases.Martin was an absolute pleasure to deal with and very helpful in deciding on the suitability of certain items.Oh and they have a fantastic swap as you go, limb exchange programme, which will guarantee they see me again in due course as I upgrade.Thanks again for your time and input guys. Never had a bad experience with Chiltern.When I bought my first bow at Chiltern (in 2019), they allowed me to test it at their attached indoor range. I'm not sure if they still do this however, as that was pre covidand the setup is different now (these days you have to prebook a timeslot with them).They usually have a good range of archery stock on the shelves, but it might be a good idea to call them first and if they don't, give them a chance to order it in (I recently ordered a Wiawis ATF-DX which needed ordering in and took 2 weeks).I find them knowledgable & friendly, and despite spiralling costs, prices are still reasonable (the WiaWis ATF-DX was £100 cheaper than all the other retailers I've seen).
