Thanet Vets

I have been taking all my dogs and cats to this practice since 1978 when I first moved to Thanet and Mr Shawcross was in charge. The care and expertise throughout this time could not have been better -- two cruciate ligament operations (the second of these performed by Jill Matthews) on my beloved GS/LabradorX Ebony enabled him to continue for many years enjoying an active life jumping over the sea wall at Minnis Bay. Likewise the advice and support given when our animals' lives sadly come to an end. There have been so many good experiences over the years that one cannot praise the team enough on all counts.My new little rescue cat Ana has just spent two weeks in the Birchington cattery, where she was cuddled and lovingly cared for. Thoroughly to be recommended!July 2023 and Ana is now older & still being looked after by our wonderful vets. Can't praise them enough.

We are delighted with the care our cat Ola has received whilst in your care. From the moment we dropped him off we knew he would be in the best possible hands, the staff are so kind and caring and you know that they genuinely love cats. We enjoyed our holiday knowing that he would be well looked after. In fact I have already mentioned boarding him there again in October, and would never go anywhere else. Thank you all so much.

First time my house cat has been away from home. The staff were lovely and very caring . On picking up my cat after my holiday he seemed happy and relaxed. Would definitely recommend and will be using them again.

Absolutely brilliant vet and staff very welcoming and are not money orientated they would highly recommend.

The vet was very helpful and gave us a choice regarding treatment for our dog, there was no pressure on us, even telling us how much the treatment would cost before proceeding. All was very helpful and reassuring

Both the receptionist and the vet were lovely, really friendly and reassuring. The vet was very caring in the way he treated my poorly dog and considerate in explaining all medication options available in treating him.
