Avicraft is a goldmine! Chock full of all sorts. The chap who runs it knows sooo much - Full of excellent ideas. Well worth a visit.

Rob absolutely is the best for helping to sort things out - he helped with the filing down of metal parts to fit together properly for my model boat, which I have now successfully glued together. His passion is model aircraft, which he regularly flies. The shop is like Aladdin’s cave with so much in it but he knows where everything is - amazing. And he can always come up with solutions to problems. A true inspiration for the model world and what for excellent customer relations.

This is so much more than a model shop. The owner is a brilliant designer and engineer who will help you with non model construction problems as well as giving advice on all modelling matters.The shop is an institution the modeling equivalent of a national treasure - it's been there for ever.

Rather dissapointed.This is one of the very few Hobby/model shops left in London.I went in for glow plugs, a glow starter, battery pack, fuel and possibly more should I have needed it.They had 1 very old glow plug that looked as if it had been in the shop for as long as the shop had existed.A glow start and charger that was 3 times the cost of any I had seen elsewhereVarious other options were offered but all involved 12v batteries connectors and tons of added costs needless to say I left them all.A rechargeable battery pack and charger... they had none at all...The guy was very busy (understandable) but I had rung ahead and asked for all of these parts specifically.I had also asked if he would be able to look over my RC vehicle to see if there was anything more I possibly needed to which he agreed but upon arrival he was too busy to serve me and instead employed the help of a very lovely lady but unfortunately she seemed to have no idea what anything was or where it was kept and he was too busy to look properly.I ended up leaving after close to an hour of standing waiting and not having been able to purchase any of the parts I needed barring 1 glow plug...About 1 hour and half drive either way so a completely wasted journey.Shame I had high expectations of this shop.

Brilliant old style model shop just outside Bromley. What they dont know aboout modelling not worth knowing. Very helpful and knowlegable staff and happy to share thier knowlege and give advice. Possibly the longest running model shop in Britain if not London. Been there since the early 1960s. They stock RC aeroplane kits and ARTF kits, static boat and aeroplane kits and all accessories you need.If your on a buget to get started with RC planes they have a large selection of 2nd hand RC planes and engines. Highly recommend Avicraft

Staff are first rate, always happy to help you even if it takes all day. Good selectionof stock, A visit to Avicraft means you'll likely buy something, but It may not be quitewhat you had in mind, you tend to buy what they have.A great bunch of guy's with a very friendly service NO other shop can match.

Superb shop, bought some Airfix soldiers that I’d not seen since childhood and will be coming back, owner is extremely helpful
