Staff is brilliant, however the whole of the club is outdated, the last time they had anything done must of been back in sixties, so looks and feels abit shabby chick. Otherwise great family club potential.

Lovely walks from this site. Really friendly staff. Gents toilets / showers great (so I am told) - ladies in need of an upgrade or I would have scored a 5.

Lovely campsite ! please notify people when changing the gate code. Only downside we had was the block of toilets next to us & fishing lake were closed due to being october :( its a long way for the oldies to walk when fishing especially when dark! Had a great week tho! :)

Love the use of the pool and sauna- changing rooms could do with an update as they're looking dated and shower cubicles would be an asset as no real privacy.

Great little find. Limited facilities, but this only adds to the charm of this health club. The staff seem to know all members by name and make an effort to chat and get to know you when you visit. The classes are good fun and you don't feel like you're being pressured to keep up if you can't.Members are kept up-to-date with regular emails and COVID safety measures are taken seriously.I like that it is a welcoming environment, as gyms I have visited in the past have been quite intimidating. If you want a gym that isn't full of people posing in the mirror, this place is for you!

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the swimming pool is lovely. I would rate these elements 4/5. However the ladies changing rooms are not cleaned often enough and as a result are dirty and unhygienic. The club considers that plastic covers over shoes, which they do not insist upon all users wearing, is a substitute for cleaning the changing rooms. This is a private health club and there is a minimum expectation that the changing rooms are clean, with a view to maintaining this standard throughout the day. Recently, the soap dispenser in the ladies changing rooms was nearly empty but had been filled up with water. This was still the case the following week. Poolside is not much better. The orange plastic plaster, stuck in the plastic grill at the end of the part of the pool dedicated to lane swimming, was still there the following day. These are simple things that can be binned upon cleaning the poolside. Perhaps this suggests that the poolside gets a commensurate amount of attention as the changing rooms. Clearly, standards of cleanliness are not a high priority at this club. I have raised the above issues verbally now with three members of staff over several months and nothing has changed. I suggested that there ought to be a cleaning rota in place that allows a minimum of 3 cleans daily, including a mop or equivalent in the changing rooms for members to clean the dirty floor, in absence of the staff doing it. This is not a good look for a private club. Currently, I am told that the changing rooms are cleaned once in the morning and again before they close, bearing in mind that they are open from early in the morning, through to 10pm. The staff have advised that unfortunately there is not always a female member of staff on duty to clean the changing rooms; its difficult to gain access in between sessions; and if members consider the changing rooms in need of a clean, they should raise this with staff. It is not the responsibility of the members to raise this issue with the staff, it is the managers responsibility to ensure that a sufficient cleaning rota is in place and to manage the staff rota to ensure that there is a female and male member of staff on duty at all times to implement it. The lack of such a rota and management, explains why the changing room floors are so dirty. One can overlook the dated appearance of the changing rooms, the wall and floor tiles having remained the same for 20 odd years, however, it's more difficult to overlook the lack of basic cleanliness, which is unacceptable on every level. Users of the changing rooms are having to plan ahead and bring flip flops for themselves and their children, just to avoid standing on the dirty floor. I hope that the owners of this club become aware of this situation, which I should think is rather embarrassing and should motivate them into ensuring that their staff are taking this more seriously. I am sure that members would be in support of seeing a female member of staff cleaning the changing rooms often during the day, as this will be of benefit to members and to the club's reputation.

This club is lovely and situated in a peaceful setting. All the staff are wonderful and extremely helpful (especially Gemma who I have PT sessions with). The pool is heated and a great size with a specified lane. The club takes hygiene very seriously and the gym is very well equipped. There are even 2 ducks that will come and great you when you are entering or leaving the gym. I am very lucky to have such a great facility close by!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the pool had bad lighting so was very dark, and it was not very clean. The pool water feels very oily and full of chemicals, not all the showers worked, and the changing rooms were very cramped.I can't comment on the gym as I didn't try it.

Segregated pool area to separate length swimmers from the children's area. Easy access to the pool using shallow steps, ideal for arthritis sufferers. Fairly standard gym equipment that is easy to operate. Friendly, helpful staff
