Absolute nightmare as its card only which cost us an hour of the night and most inconvenient.That aside a great venue with plenty of outside spaces some creekside and a good inside live music venue!....outdoor food vendor there too!Dog friendly so a massive plus and available for private hire too.5 star on all fronts EXCEPT THE new dad to eradicate cash and something to remember if tou come here

OMG. I am so glad I found this place. WOW. Just wow. Reasons why I love it include the food was delicious. There were two Independent pop ups to choose from- a burger place end a Caribbean place. I ordered the halloumi burger and the patty was a a battered tasty halloumi, it really resembled the size of a burger patty. I also had Parmesan and truffle fries and they were bursting with flavour and were delicious and crispy. The pub in general is very cute, we sat outside on the benches by the river and also enjoyed chilling on the swing chair. I like the up-cycled vibe. Although the pub has got a very similar vibe to canal-side bars and cafes in Hackney Wick, the Old Joinery is more quiet, understated and low-key. I love it!!! Will definitely be back!!

We hired the old joinery for a private wedding party and it was an incredible day. Francesca and Tom were super accommodating. We planned to set up the space and arrange performances / food set up ourselves but they were more than happy to act as a point of contact to organise a lot of the day including decoration and even checking names on the door. They spoke with and met some of the performers and food providers prior to the event to make sure everything ran smoothly.The space itself as you can see is gorgeous, a brilliant large outdoor area with space for lots of seats, food stalls, and a band, a section by the creek, well stocked bar inside and a smaller upstairs room for karaoke / more seating, then of course the huge hall for DJ.They had a sound tech to help set up the speakers / lighting, and had mics for both inside and outside for speeches.If you're looking to hire part or all of it we'd definitely recc you to go down, have a look, chat to them and go for it!

Fantastic pub and great service! The drinks were lovely (241 Cocktails Happy hour is from 5-7pm) and the burgers were great - the 'Elvis Burger' was very good & something different.The set up of the venue itself is nice and funky - it certainly fits the vibe of the area! The staff were all super friendly, lovely and definitely know how to create a great atmosphere.Additionally, the table service was super quick and efficient - this always seemed to coincide with us finishing each round of drinks; the staff couldn't have timed this any better and I applaud their attentive & quick service!!I highly recommend a visit!!

Can’t fault any of the staff here. They truly went above and beyond for our friends birthday. Especially toby and Tom who went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy and having a good time. Cannot thank them enough!

Stunning place near Greenwich DLR station. Plenty of outdoors seating (with heating) and two rooms inside. You can book one of the rooms for your private event. The room we booked had darts and pool tables, as well as access to the speakers so we could play our music. Drinks are a bit expensive for the area (£10 margarita) but still affordable.

A huge thank you to the Old Joinery team Fran, Ed and Tom for our amazing wedding. A fantastic venue and a very well organised and well prepared event. Thank you so much for helping make our special day even more special. All of our guests had a great time and many have commented on what a great venue it was. We are lucky enough to live nearby and regularly visit on weekends to enjoy a drink some live music. We cannot recommend the Old Joinery enough.

First visit and very enjoyable. The terrace next to the creek has charm of its own on a sunny day and the food was excellent and a good price. Short but well chosen selection of drinks plus excellent music complete the visit. Staff are helpful and efficient. This could become my new local!

We feel so lucky that we had The Old Joinery as our wedding reception venue back in June. Such a big thank you to the amazing team Fran, Ed, and Tom and everyone else at The Old Joinery - you are so good at what you do! You made our night so extraordinary, you kept us on the schedule, you were so good in all the planning before, accommodating and just brilliant. And an amazing team to work with, you really excel at organizing the big events! And we love the venue, we go there regularly for a drink and so special to have our local host the event. So many of our guests commented on how cool the venue is, such a great ambience and so much space for everyone to enjoy a chat, a dance, the outdoor space, or a game of darts or pool! We cannot thank you all enough and feel so blessed that we could have our reception at the Old Joinery. So highly recommend The Old Joinery if you are planning a special event! Thank you again!!
