Excellent place loads to do in the building. Friendly staff

Will there be any improvements to swimming facilities (lockers, changing rooms) compared to foyle arena feels very outdated ?

Today me my cousins and brother went for a swim in the Templemore Sport Centre we were in there for 20 minutes and a worker came up and told my wee brother to get out of the pool we have did nothing wrong only went for a swim the worker come over and roared with his finger in my brothers face that has ADHD I’ve asked him to talk calmly to him as he has ADHD the worker kept going and told use to get out this was all because we are travellers they discriminated against use

Great facilities and the nicest staff you could ever meet.

The pool, changing rooms,corridors and any of the swimming area are absolutely disgusting. Dirty, muddy, no toilet roll, driers don't work... viewing area for swim lessons wedged toilets broken either door locks or the seats ,no masks or social distancing and anybody and everyone watching children swim. Just kids instructing and running the show, swim wise anyway.Doors too narrow for a stroller, elevator not in use because of covid " so you've no way to get up stairs with a stroller or god forbid you needed it as an additional need. You have to go and find someone to come with a key. And don't even get me started pn trying to get a refund. Can't comment on the gym end of things but everything else in relation to swimming was yuk."

I think templemore is better than Foyle arena. The sauna and steam seems to be better quality, and I like the layout of the pool area

My experience at the sports complex are positive , the staff are friendly and helpful ,I wish I could say I had the same experience in all Derry's pools ,I was actually threatened with violence for undoing a rope that stopped access to swim up and down the pool ,This all happened in derrys brand new sports centre waterside ,I don't give 5 stars easily , but because of the trying times we are going through , I felt the staff at templmore were brilliant ,

Toilets and changing facilities are awful and the steam room area needs updated . If you spent a few pound doing them up it would be great
