Helen Dixon Pilates

I absolutely love the morning reformer class. Helen is such a great teacher, you feel challenged but really well supported to go at your own pace. I feel stronger already after a couple of classes as a complete beginner. This is a great way to start the day, and as well as being a fantastic teacher Helen is super nice and good fun. Not many other people I'd be so keen to see at 7am!

Helen is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Pilates teacher, who's vibrant personality is incorporated into her classes, which relaxes and motivates her clients. She is aware of individuals capabilities and physical limitations so offers various levels of difficulty for the more advanced Pilates positions, which enables her clients to participate at their own level. I would highly recommend Helen to clients of all levels and abilities.

I have never been a fan of Pilates and Yoga - until now!Reformer Pilates perfectly compliments my weight training programme, with a mix of conditioning and stretching (which I always forget, or dont have time to do in the gym). Helen is a great teacher, explaining everything really simply, and she is super friendly too. The Monday session os a great start to my week!

Helen creates a lovely, relaxing atmosphere with her friendly ,down to earth manner. she is both attentive and understanding of each class members abilities and limitations and strives to help each of us to reach our individual Piltates goals.

I’m new to reformer Pilates and Helen has been amazing in taking time to understand my physical pain, and understanding that the pain makes me nervous about moving in certain ways. So she’s helped me build my confidence, push myself but really enjoy reformer. Great teacher, fab coach and great set up. If you can, give it a try.

Love taking classes with Helen! I’ve been taking reformer classes with her regularly for about 6 months and have had some 1-1 sessions working on the whole range of equipment she has in the studio. Every session is fun and challenging. I love every minute - if you’ve been thinking of giving reformer a try, do it! Helen is brilliant, she really knows her stuff and helps you to move with joy and freedom. Be prepared to work hard in your session though - she loves to challenge you, no matter what your level!! She can happily teach a beginner alongside someone experienced and give them both a great session; she has great teaching skills. We’re so lucky to have her in Darlington. She is aiming to bring us all the best pilates experience possible; she’s treating us to the very BEST highest quality range of equipment (it glides perfectly smoothly) I’ve tried a few different reformers, and Helen’s bought the best. And she’s doing high class training, which you can tell from her lessons which are spot on. Massive cheer from me - you’re raising up pilates for Darlington - well done Helen and thank you!!!!
