HMad Architects (formerly Harris Macmillan) designed and project managed the rebuilding of our house in the Teign Valley. Barry Ennis and Matt Rayner did a fabulous job and we absolutely love the house - a converted bungalow. Their ideas and plans were all brilliant as was their project management and work with the planning authorities which was also extremely efficient. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Very professional company, attention to detail and response to any queries dealt with in good time. Good relationship with contractors and client alike and would thoroughly recommend to any project such as ours, with a Listed building. The end result was empathetic and fitted extremely well.

Huge thanks to Luke and Matt for providing first class designs and advice for our projects. We have used HMAD on 2 separate occasions, both projects involving listed buildings in conservation areas, and their help and knowledge within this field was invaluable.We particularly loved the 3D virtual models which gave us an amazing insight into what the finished building would look like.

hmad have been absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process of our new kitchen extension. They listened to our brief and came up with such a clever design which made the best use of a tight and tricky space, whilst making sure the materials used would be sympathetic to the age of the listed Cotswold stone cottage we were building on to. They had to contend with stringent listed building and conservation regulations and really did provide us with an extension which feels modern but so in keeping with the historic original house. Their suggestions on how to make the house flow from the old to the new areas were really clever and we are so happy with the end result! We now have our dream family kitchen thanks to hmad!

We have had an excellent experience working with Luke and his team of architects. Although a relatively small project in converting our garage into a studio and office, Luke nonetheless gave us all the support and attention needed to achieve a great design and offered many practical solutions concerning space and aesthetics.
