We got their traditional sausage roll, and it was amazing! They did not skip on the meat at all! It was also hot when we got it! Highly recommended their sausage roll!

Very good for a quick bite, and conveniently located next to a great drinks shop, Max Bakes is a nice pop-up silver van that serves very nice sausage rolls. There are a few flavours available. The pastry is very thin and the flavours are very nice. Great option for a walk in the meadows

Max Bakes Gourmet Sausage Rolls
The food was delicious, the whole setup feels very reassuringly clean (he asks what sauces you want for example rather than everyone handling them). You can tell this guy really takes pride in his business. Very reasonably priced too, highly recomend :)

Max Bakes Gourmet Sausage Rolls
Sausage rolls are average fairly boring snacks. They taste greasy and have far too much pastry. So why are these called sausage rolls? Escobar does not understand. These tasty morsels are consisting of the finest fillings, surrounded by a thin puff pastry. Delicious. Far too nice to be sausage rolls. My advice to my admiring fans. Get the haggis and black pudding one. Edinburgh University students are lucky to have this gourmet Michelin stared (possibly) Cordon Blue chef on their doorstep.

Perfect for a quick bite before going into lectures. Lovely guy at the till. Might be a personal preference issue, but the classic pork sausage role was a little too salty for me.
