Manchester Central Convention Complex

Attended the 2023 Megacon at Manchester Central. Place was organised,clean with plenty of facilities. Lots of security and a big venue to fit the many stalls and activities. Absolutely loved it here, was so many visitors and cosplayers with lots of space out front to take photos- especially with the lovely cosplayers who let anyone take photos and were actively encouraging it!

Had a great Xmas party here. The lunch was nice though not too filling.The rides were really fun.

I attended the EAHAD 2023 conference in Feb 2023 here, and the team at the Manchester Central Convention Centre did us proud. The organisation & flow of the meeting, along with the amazing architecture & feeling of the building was fabulous. There are plenty of toilets around the building, I rarely had to queue which for a meeting with 2000 delegates is pretty good going.The support team were really friendly & approachable.The caterers were fantastic, food was all labelled with allergens which was great! Staff were knowledgeable & helpful in finding other items where needed.In addition to the free food & drink there was also a coffee vendor on site for those wishing to have more interesting beverages.

Our second visit ( year ‘22,’23) to attend the Autism show in this building to accompany friend (just diagnosed) as support. And also to expose to her the possibilities to what is available to help with her cope with her disability. Nice conference rooms and easy to negotiate the areas.

Went there for Christmas party with friends. Car park was a bit scary on your own at night and expensive. I was there for 3 hours and paid over £17. The event itself- yes the place was transformed into a Christmas's atmosphere. We had entertainment during the meal, We got there at 7, we were told to find our places after 8. The food was tasty, but the quantity was shocking, huge plates- very little food on them for the actual price we paid. Think it was for the entertainment etc. There was a casino, funfair, magician, etc, afterwards, but I had left by then. But the company is part of having a good night too, that was fabulous. Oh, staff were great. Drinks were expensive,

Great venue for the Interflora World Cup 2023. Very good facilities - toilets, food, drinks, spacious and with easy access via public transport. Does Manchester proud!

I'm not giving the place five stars, purely because I can't get too excited about a convention centre. That said, it is a very good one as such things go. A truly excellent auditorium, a massive exhibition space beneath the span of the old station roof, and various good modern decent sized rooms for seminars and so forth. Conveniently close to Oxford Road and Deansgate stations, as well as tram stops and the city centre. Do bring an umbrella, though. It is in Manchester, after all.

Excellent venue for the UCAS Create your Future event. Open space, heated and the staff were incredibly friendly and its really interesting to see the interior of the building especially when it used to be Manchester Central Station. Food is quite pricey but it’s very good
