Can't recommend this enough for both tourists and locals!James was fantastic with his storytelling and was great at making sure everyone was comfortable. The storytelling was at a great pace and was very informative.The tour of Greyfriars and the South Bridge Vaults was great, I learned lots of new things. The vaults themselves are in very good condition considering their age, and are definitely very spooky.All in all a must do in Edinburgh!

Well orchestrated walk into the history of Edinburgh's South Bridge vaults with some convincing stories on why if anyplace could be haunted, this is a place with it's past poverty and injustice could be. The story telling is well paced, and without the obvious theatre of other experiences. I like the story of the modern Wicken cove that moved to other vaults.

Unbelievably cool thing, just a bridge but it's the details surrounding that make this so intriguing. I recommend just joining a tour and don't look it up beforehand to save the mystery.

An interesting tour with Darren from Auld Reekie, we really enjoyed hearing the spooky stories and the horrors that went on in the vaults. It was another highlight of our trip!Book your tickets online but the destination in your confirmation email is different than where you meet, so read the email rather than rely on the google maps pin from the email or you’ll be lost/late like us!

Honestly the vaults were in Surprisingly good condition and the background and history spooky, loved it a lot 100% recommend unless with small children because it can get quite stuffy and dark.
