Beautiful pier. The train ride is a must. The view is fantastic during high tide. You can see boats and ships. It's also beautiful at night.

The staff here are very helpful. Really good view and the pier is very nice. Parking is a bit of an issue and traffic is pretty bad (it is Southend after all). Definitely recommend if you are visiting the areas for the first time.

As a resident, I find Southend Visitor Tourist Information a bit of an insult to our City, as there isn't particularly anything there to promote what Southend has to offer. It was much better when they had their own shop in the High Street.
