You have to phone at 8.30am to get an appointment, you are usually on hold for 30+minutes (25 people ahead of me in the queue the moment the line was open today) then when they get to me there are no appointments left to see someone. Ridiculous system that is very arduous and designed to put you off contacting anyone.

So happy with this surgery, every time I've phoned regarding my daughter the receptionists have been kind, helpful and very efficient, all Dr's have been fantastic with my daughter, very thorough and seen quickly. I can't recommend them enough! Thank you Alney Practice

The Alney Practice
Apparent disregard for elderly patients who are unable to access the online system. Both of my parents havebeen with this surgery for 40 years; Practice manager promised to resolve the issue but resolution remains to be seen. Management/administration incompetencies exacerbate emotional distress esp with regard to dementia/mental health. Communication with patients needs improvement.

Laziest GP Surgery. Used to be good until it merged with Highnam, can never get through and the surgery itself lost some personal papers I had needed to be signed by my GP.

I have always found the Practice very helpful. The waiting rooms are clean and tidy. The reception staff busy, but polite and do their very best to help with enquiries. The medical staff are professional and have always made time for my questions. Thank you.

I have always been impressed with the professional service at this practice. We have been registered here for over forty years. The service I received this week was exceptual. I saw Dr Allen on Wednesday and had my problem solved by Dr Higenbotham today.

There is nothing positive I can say. 30 minute wait times are the norm, usually to be told to call back tomorrow. If you are successful getting a call back from a doctor booked that day, you can’t even be sure it will happen. You end up calling back up, waiting another 30 minutes to ask why no one called as arranged to be told they tried calling several times on an old number not used anymore. Though they somehow have the correct number when they bombard you with text messages…. This place used to be good, nowadays don’t even bother.

Rang this morning, appt for 10.40. Saw an excellent doctor, very thorough, gave me time to explain, actively listened. Blood tests arranged for thursday. Receptionist was helpful too. Brilliant service.

The call handlers are busy in winding up the call without listening the complete details.Also,the critical or sensitive cases are not handled properly.I had poor experience when dealt for myself and my family.

I left the Aspen Centre when they merged as they were horrific and moved to this practice. What a difference, amazingly brilliant receptionists, doctors who listen and care and nurses who are lovely.I have had the best treatment here (and I have a lot of health problems) and would recommend it to anyone. If there is an issue they are very quick to resolve it and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
