The Priory

The Priory is an absolutely stunning wedding venue. The barn is beautiful and it is set in the most amazing grounds. The food was incredible, all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food which was a really important part of the wedding day for us. Karen and the team were faultless and ensured the day ran smoothly. We cannot thank everyone enough for making our day so special.

Absolutely loved our day. We couldn’t have had a better day thanks to all the hard work of Karen, Jason and the whole team. Beautiful property, helpful and friendly staff and had a great variety of vendors. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Cannot fault the venue location and look. Food was very good also. Bar staff and management of the bar itself was awful! Do not put money behind the bar, as nothing gets added up or written down to keep track (guess work)! Drink prices changed on every round bought (for the same drinks purchased)! Many of our guests said they were short changed and had to pull staff up on this as well as query the different prices they were charged each time on the same drinks. It was also noticed that either measurements on spirits weren't correct or their spirits are watered down. Attempted to resolve this with the venue but we have been ignored.

As a supplier to The Priory Barn it is a pleasure to work with the whole team. If you are considering getting married then this place is definitely worth a visit, it is beautiful, the staff are friendly and are efficient with all event running like clockwork. Attractive venue, housed within a series of buildings, including a farm.The heart of the venue is a large barn that can cater for weddings and other events, to hold maybe 200 people sitting?Inside the barn there is a bar, a stage and a few other facilities like an annexed room, toilets and storage.There is a large garden and an adjoining field which must be great for summer events. Other features include a brook, some willow trees and a walled garden that complete the picture for a pleasant venue.There are a few things that might make for an eyesore for some, like another business on the premises as you drive in, or some of the farming equipment.But this is a convenient venue, tucked away between Stevenage and Hitchin and very easy to access from the motorway.

Amazing venue , cannot fault anything!! The food was incredible along with the staff being fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they made sure my day was special. I really recommend this venue to any engaged couples looking for a unique stunning barn. Many thanks again all the staff and especially Karen & Lauren for making my day!!

Would give 6 stars if possible!September wedding that turned out to be the hottest day of the year and the Priory teams 3rd wedding of the weekend…and we felt like it was their only wedding of the year. Staff, food, venue all fantastic (the food deserves it’s own separate review with 10*).From our first visit, even to now after our wedding Karen, Jay and the rest of the team have been incredible. Pictures somehow don’t seem to do this venue justice as it really is a unique, beautiful space and would absolutely recommend to anybody looking to have a fantastic and stress free wedding.Well done to all of the Priory team for the space you’ve created and the well deserved reputation you have built.
