I called the surgery today (21/12/2022 @ 9:40) and spoke to one of the receptionists.I told her I had seen the Doctor last week and was still on Antibiotics prescribed. The Doctor had stated during my visit, should my symptoms worsen, I was to go the surgery for a test, and as such he would make a note on the system to advise of the same.I told the receptionist the above and that my symptoms had now worsened! She clearly stated you can’t just come to the surgery for a test!We have no appointments, call tomorrow or ring 111!I stated if she checked the system she would see that I can come for a test, as the Doctor had authorised this. She once again stated that just calling into the Surgery for a test is not something that is available.I again said there was a note on the system if she would please check! She went away returning to the call and stating, there was a form on the system, and I could come in for a test! (NO APOLOGY GIVEN)!I said, she should have checked the system first as I had asked, instead of contradicting and dismissing what I was telling her.Goodbye! And she hung up on me! (SO RUDE)!In addition to the signs stating Staff will not tolerate abuse in the surgery and you will be asked to find a different practice if you abuse them. There should be a sign the other side of Reception with the staff stating:If you are rude or abusive to patients, you will be asked to find another employer! Some receptionists are fine and courteous, unfortunately there are a few who think they are above the Doctors and are Power Crazed! An understanding caring nature is required for the job of GP Receptionist, you know who you are, and your true vocation has yet to be found! It certainly isn’t there, at Unsworth Group Practice!

My dad tried to get an appointment yesterday as he has had a hart attack a short while back and is experiencing cramps …which he explained on the phone…..but the idiot of a receptionist clearly couldn’t be bothered to look at his file and offered him an appointment for next week at the earliest….and suggested he take himself off to the walk in centre…anyone with a ounce of a brain .,would realise, there’s clearly a problem here….since when did the receptionist become more qualified than the doctor…..wouldn’t pay them with washers.!

Parking for everybody is always really busy. All cars unable to find a space have to park on the road outside including disabled. Reception recently refurbished, shame about the leaky roof. Overall could be a bit better. Reception says we are a bit late, despite a snowy, icy day and bad parking. My wife is in a wheelchair and a little compassion would be nice, but they saw us after s short wait.

Absolute shambles rude receptionist, with no idea about an emergency that does not warrant being seen at A N E, putting lives at risk!!! , my partner is a queen's award practice nurse and totally agrees. The emergency was lime disease which requires regular blood tests and antibiotics to prevent possible organ failure and death.waited 3 weeks for an appointment that wasn't booked then basically told to ring at 8am on Monday the call made to confirm was friday, yet was just treated rudely and they kept trying put the phone down even though I was polite yet frustrated, didn't want to listen didn't want to help, certainly didn't understand I might as well been talking to a breeze block

Unfortunately very disappointing experience recently. Ordered repeat prescriptions on line on Sunday 23rd October as knew I had a busy week and didn't want to forget. Finished the last of my tablets on Thursday night and realised I hadn't heard from the pharmacy to say my prescription was ready. Turns out they hadn't recieved it. They suggested I rang the doctors to get an emergency prescription. When I eventually got through I was asked my age and told I couldn't order over the phone unless I was over the age of 65, and I needed to complete an online consult stating it was an emergency prescription or go in person which I couldn't, due to work. I eventually discovered how to do the online consult and then contacted the pharmacy later to see if it had come through. I was then told it would be ready on Monday 31st after 2.00pm. Still no notification by Tuesday 1st and have now been told it will be tomorrow. So much for an emergency prescription, nearly a week without medication. Not good enough.

Thank you to the entire team and especially to Dr Sara Jaberansari.Recently had few appointments with Dr Sara. She listened to my concerns and was really friendly, helpful and thorough. She explains everything in detail and didn’t mind me asking questions.

Very helpful staff. I queued for an appointment first thing and was seen to within half an hour. Newly decorated so nice place. Doctor was great.

My family and I have been patients at this practice since 2001 and have never had any real issues other than the usual difficulties getting through on the phone at 8am if a same day appointment was needed. Unfortunately since reopening post covid it has gradually got worse and worse, it’s now clearly being run as a business above all else. There are no appointments available if you’re poorly but a plethora of appointments if you require what they call a chargeable service, this being a medical fitness letter for my 16 year old son to join the armed forces. Then again a week later I required a very short couple of tick box questions DWP form completing as I have had cancer and again they want to charge for it!! I’ve put in a formal complaint and haven’t even had an acknowledgment. I’m shocked and disappointed that this once brilliant practice has become nothing more than an opportunity for financial gain.On a positive note, if you can get an appointment the doctors and clinical staff are excellent, no complaints whatsoever about them.

I think they do the best they can with the resources they have. Reception staff seem to have improved recently, this is a welcome change. They will always try to see a child who is ill but they are overwhelmed with an older population who seem to use a lot of the appointments so they are hard to book.Getting worse sadly. Reception staff look depressed, no appointments, overall a poor service.2023 - The new layout of the Reception area means that you have to shout your information through a screen at the desk to whoever is behind it. Not very client friendly or discreet.2023 - an over reliance on technology is leading to a lot of mistakes. 2 appointment errors in the space of a month.

Pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to book an appointment. Never the right time, never enough appointments and overall, feeling so let down. I rarely go to the doctor’s and feel like they are not helping me/us at all.
