Not what we expected when we googled for a farm cafe in the area, more of a restaurant set up and prices, but the Sunday lunch was well worth the £15.95 each we paid. We tried the belly pork and beef and both were delicious. The kids Mac and cheese was a large portion and again, really tasty. The homemade lemonade was really good too. The staff were very friendly and great with the kids.

A great place for a farm style breakfast. All produce is from the farm shop next door. My wife loves the American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup which gives this place an edge over a traditional cafe. Little bit more pricey but expected when food is top quality farm shop products.

Had a lovely lunch with my dad here for the first time. Great service - our server was really polite and efficient. The food was served really quickly and was delicious. I had the pulled pork sandwich with chips and my dad had the roast beef sandwich, both made to perfection. Some of the nicest pulled pork I've eaten. It's not the cheapest place to eat but it's obvious you're paying for good quality food. On nice days (like today) there's outdoor seating with views over towards Castle Hill. Will definitely come back again.

This is a great place to eat out at. Sadly I was disappointed in the 'award winning sausages'. Very average considering the price charged for a sausage sandwich. The cafetiere of coffee was a decent coffee but the cafetiere was not working properly as the plunger was difficult to compress and there were a lot of floating coffee granules. The young waitress who served us was grumpy and miserable although I tried hard to be friendly and encourage a friendly connection. Will not rush back.

The hyped pie night looked like a good deal when I booked (£20 for a pie of your choice and a beverage). When we arrived the steak & kidney pie I had been looking forward to wasn't on the menu anymore so I went for the fish pie. Said pie was at least 80% spuds. No smoked haddock or prawns, just a few smallish chunks of cod and salmon. Sauce completely tasteless and vegetables so overcooked that I had trouble identifying them.Only my interesting companion saved the evening.

Went in on a wet Friday afternoon after a local recommendation and we weren't disappointed. We both ordered the salt and pepper brisket sandwich - the meat was full of flavour and really tender. Nice fast service and the food came out in good time too.

Recommended by a friend, really nice cafe attached to the farm shop. Lovely people and had a nice coffee, cake we chose was a little underwhelming but still would recommend as a nice spot!

Had lunch here and while it beautifully set and the staff are all really attentive. The price and the food portion was poor in my opinion. £15 for pulled pork and cheese and you get 4 mouthfuls wasn’t there best……..wouldn’t put me off coming for an evening meal, as it tasted really good.

After a moderately disappointing experience with an evening meal for friends which we forgave and put down to bad luck on the day we gave the restaurant another opportunity and booked a three course meal for a family celebration. Food was ok but overall a really disappointing experience. Dairy free diner; after checking twice with staff who flippantly said the cream on top of soup was dairy free, had suspicions confirmed on third check that it was infact cream! Poor form and understandably made this diner wary about the establishments allergen awareness to their whole meal. Service staff were disinterested, inattentive and the experience was mired by service that was so dreadfully slow, at one point we had just sit and watch food after asking for cutlery twice. Lovely venue and as a business owner I appreciate the financial investment it must have taken to set up but it’s such a shame that they just can’t muster the service and food to match.
