Used the club as a venue and we catered ourselves. Great for large gatherings and decent drinks prices.Staff friendly & accommodating.

Attended a wake at the club. The room is huge and brilliant for any events, got a good selection of drinks on the bar too. It is just starting to look a bit tired now

It's a great we'll furnished and well kept social club. Drinks reasonably priced too

The club, in general is great with lots to offer the regular member from a range of alcoholic beveragesand a sports room along with a concert room with many great performers changing everyweekend. The drinks at the bar re as expected, with a slightly disappointing choice on the bitter/ale front, with no ale option. The closest offered seemed to be a Boddingtons. Suggesting that the person in charge is not paying attention to the local market after successful adoption of real ales and ipa's in local brewery owned pubs and a local ale house successfully opened in recent times. Saving grace is they offer staropramen for the pilsner/ lager drinkers.We attended a party with children present and one of our children asked the bar staff(stewardess) for water they were told to take the glass to the toilets to fill it up instead of the staff simply turning the tap on at the sink behind the bar. Fortunately, the child in question does not take instructions literally and came to our table and we eventually filled the glass up for ourselves from the sink behind the bar. The black gunk under the taps in the toilets indicate they are not routinely cleaned to meet a standard that would be deemed suitable as a drinking water tap, along with a suspicion they are not routinely ran as part of legionella prevention obligations.The attitude of the staff put a downer on the christening. If the provision of water is such a hardship it should have been mentioned at booking, and a jug could have been provided so they'd only have to be filled once. Also the stewardess went around with a pair of scissors, whilst the party was continuing and cut all the balloons from their ribbons as they contained some large confetti type glitter and did not want them popping as she'd have to clean it up and they are hard to clean up, apparently. Again maybe specify this at time of booking. The recommended catering provider was excellent. With great food and excellent pies.

I had my 60th party on 25th August lovely place but at 10pm fleur and bar staff was taking my decorations down even though I had the room till 12
