Was waiting for the lady to finish her customer and she said she’ll be back as she walked away. Left me waiting there for ages I finally just got what I wanted and asked my questions at the till only to pass her doing something entirely different. If she wasn’t gonna come back she should of just not said anything. Very time wasting

Worst customer service staff I've ever come across.TLDR : Was disrespected and forced to dig through the trash to prove an error on their part. Was still not given an apology. Won't be back.Came in after purchasing a pair of clothes. Decided to buy the same exact thing two days later from the exact same service member(who was the only one to attempt to correct the misunderstanding") they attempted to charge me extra. I explained my prior purchase experience and was called a liar

They clearly think that ladies don't want to play any kind of racquet sports. There were no court shoes, staff didn't know if they were non marking or not.

Massive store with no choice at all. No decent men's coats, and you have to spend a fortune for a decent one. They sell exercise equipment, but don't sell an ab cruncher! It's unbalanced, and all for profit

Took a pair of trainers back that had split after a couple of months. Refused to swap or refund, told me to contact Tommy jeans direct. Disgraceful service!! Plus they had a really bad attitude. Shocking customer service!

Went into Sunderland branch twice this week and must give Amy the sales assistant a big mention she was very helpful and friendly and helped me find the right trainers I needed to get, nothing was a problem to her, she went above and beyond to help. Well done Amy, hope she gets recognition in her job role at work .

Awful, shady company ran by a crook.Firstly, I bought some golf shoes to be delivered ‘Next Day’ to my local store as they didn’t have the size I required in the shop. Once I had checked out and paid, I received an email saying they would be delivered with 5-7 working days? Brilliant.I needed them for that weekend, hence trying to purchase in store in the first place.I reluctantly then purchased the same shoes online again, this time selecting home delivery (at a cost of £10!) to get them delivered next day - with the intention of returning the first set once they had been delivered to the store. The shoes I received to my house were perfect for what I needed, no issues there.Fast forward a week later and my initial order had been delivered to the store. I went to collect the package immediately after work and 25 minutes before the store was due to close (at 6pm). I had literally crossed the threshold from the street and a member of staff snapped “We’re closed” to which I replied, “Yes, in 25 minutes you are”.I went to the collection desk and the lady was soon flustered trying to work out how to process my collection on the computer, not her fault at all she clearly hadn’t been trained sufficiently (I now know why). Another woman tried to help before the two got in an argument about who was right and who was wrong, meanwhile, I was stood there just wanting to get the parcel and leave. They located it in the storeroom but refused to give it to me until the system (which is clearly archaic and chaos to use) would refresh and allow them to mark it as “collected”. My Driving license was checked 3 times during all of this, for some reason.Foolishly, I then said I had brought a pair of trousers to return. I was told they would only exchange or offer store credit. I told them under my statutory rights I was entitled to a cash refund as they were not as described. (They were marked as 32” waist but could’ve fit two of me in them. The other pair of a different brand I bought at the same time were 32” and fit as expected). An argument ensued and I said they could get a tape measure if they liked, because they were nowhere near 32”. The ‘manager’ (Andy) came over the radio and said staff were to get any remaining customers out of the store.I said I wouldn’t leave until it was resolved, because the only reason it was now 6pm was because they were unable to process the parcel collection in less than 25 minutes. The manager then gobbed off over the radio saying I had to leave and that different brands came up different sizes. I told the female member of staff to get him down to the front so I could prove he was wrong. He then said, “if he wants to speak to me, I’m at the front of the store on his way out”. I almost sprinted through the store to find him and there he was, stood like a bouncer on the exit. He was everything I expected he would be, someone used to deceiving people whilst using his size to try and intimidate people in any dispute. He failed miserably, so tried to guilt trip me by saying “You’re stopping my staff from going home”. What staff? They were flooding out the door and the lights were 90% off - I had to use my 6th sense to get back through the store to him. I ended up getting my cash refund after I educated him on UK consumer law.Absolutely abysmal, non-existent customer service. Shortly after, I found out from an ex-employee they were threatened that they would be ‘sacked’ by the very same manager (Andy) if they didn’t turn up for an extremely short notice shift change (they had an A-Level exam that day). What a coward and a bully. To top it all off, to return anything bought online you need to pay again (£5) and go through Sports Directs shady returns website, instead of them just including a returns label. Buy elsewhere and have absolute piece of mind with your purchase.
