Worst restaurant in scottland ive been to. Barely anything from the menu was available and ended up ordering the ”cheese and onion baguette” you see in the picture. 3 slices of onion plus a MOUNTAIN of raw cheese on top. Do not recommend

Huge servings..and i mean HUGE ..Fast service,good beer and good pub food.This is good for what it is.I had a great serving of fried fish, chips and salad. Happy i did not choose a starter as well.

Extremely busy when we were there, with some people waiting more than 45 minutes for a table. The waiting staff were also very busy and it took a long time for the food to arrive. Not very many options for those with allergies, and although the food was nice, it wasn’t anything special

We visited twice while in Fort Augustus. Everything we tried was wonderful. Their Haggis was outstanding, fish and chips were one of the best, gannon steak was wonderful, sticky toffee was great.

Very busy place. Thought we were not going to be served. To our surprise we were seated right away and served right away. Got our order within fifteen minutes including drinks and was just beautiful. What a beautiful place the bothy is. The food was so nice and extremely reasonable for a tourist trap. Very good access for my wheel chair. Had a table for my wheel chair to fit right in. Staff were overly helpful in a very nice way. This place gets ten stars. There is loads of places to eat in fort Augustus but do give the bothy a try. I recommend it! See pictures attached. Not of food but of surrounding area.

I was here yesterday from a bus tour. First time in Loch Ness. We had the worst customer service here with my friends. We had a table of four. We asked to sit by the fire place and we were told no, and seated elsewhere. The waitresses didn’t smile when we entered. When one came to take our order…. She said we had to order quickly because the kitchen was closing. The time was between 1:30PM and 1:45PM. We quickly ordered soup of the day. When it came time to pay the man at the bar, he explained that he wouldn’t split the bill for cards because there is a charge for each card transaction. Which is understandable so we offered to pay him separately in cash and he also refused. He wanted one of us to pay and we would sort it out between us. He also didn’t smile. We felt like we were not welcomed or appreciated. I would never return here. It’s so disappointing because I was hoping Loch Ness would be a positive experience. Just left a bad impression. We felt rushed, unwelcome, and also uncomfortable.

This establishment has easily got to be my favourite bar in Scotland.The landlord is very welcoming. The bar area is spotlessly clean, and the beer was excellent. The pub is dog friendly, which is a bonus as I have 2.The pub has a great feeling about it, which is hard to describe.I will definitely be visiting next year when we return to Scotland.

Enjoyed vising during our trip to Fort Augustus. Had a pint with the wife while sitting in their picnic tables right next to the locks leading into Loch Ness. Fun to watch the swinging bridge, as well.We didn't get food, but I love sticky toffee so we'll have to try it next time we're up that way.

I wouldn't recommend. I had the steak pie, which wasn't very good. It was extremely salty, to the point where it was almost inedible. I left more than half on the plate despite being quite hungry. It came with chips instead of mash potato, which would've made more sense since you could mix the mash with the gravy and absorb some of that salt. The chips were however good, and probably would've been better off ordering the fish and chips. Service was ok, but took some time to get my order in despite being ready for quite a bit. I'd avoid it if possible, but there aren't many places around.
