Murray Star Maze
It was a quiet day in autumn. I was not intimidated by thick hedges of green barriers. Instead, I strolled into a transparent maze of paths that confounded me in a delightful tickle. I could see through the delicate stems and branches that I was two or three passages away from the fountain, from the bridge… from the exit. But how to trace my way through? A pleasing walk. A little longer time spent meandering than I expected!! Ooo, I intend to return next season!

Murray Star Maze
What is there not to like about a genuine hedged maze. A small map at the start gives some clues to the layout. An observation deck near the start/ finish allows and overall view. The prize in the centre is a small fountain.

A long way up from the road to the gate, only to find out that it costs 11GBP to get on to the grounds. Crazy money.

Loved the maze. At first fun and games, but later becomes rather complex and it starts to play mind games with you!

Brilliant maze! I got lost but thats all part of the fun! Lovely fountain when i found my way to the middle which was a very pleasant surprise. Great fun for old and young alike i would highly reccomend a visit to Scone palace which is where the maze is located.

This is not free even though Google says it is 24hr access. You have to pay 11GBP each for Scone Castle gardens entry.

Murray Star Maze
A wonderful way to lose a half hour and yourself in this small but well designed star shaped beech hedge maze.There is a map and a viewing platform at the entrance and at the centre is a small fountain and some seating where you can hear the laughter from others lost in the maze.

Murray Star Maze
Fantastic. I love this maze. Two hints: the map at the front does not correlate to maze and also find your way to the bridge first. Another hint: look at the back of the maze to find the way to the centre! Enjoy.
