staff were rude, went to show my confirmation email for click & collect and got told to step back (understandably so) didn't end up showing my ID and email. upon return she then stood in my face to explain I need to go to1 the back gate and wait for someone there. so telling me to step back was some sort of power play or to vent because they ended up being 2 yards to me! drove to the back gate and waited for someone to come with my gravel and no one came.if they don't want to work during covid or hot weather, they should just call in sick. if they can afford to stay closed they should so that and I would of gone somewhere else.

We absolutely love coming here. They have a good selection (just wish more tiles were available to view in the shop). Everyone so friendly. And we are ok to take our dog in.

Do not get your kitchen fitted by Wickes. I had a terrible experience. I ordered my kitchen on 31st August 21 and the fitter didn’t start until 11May22. He didn’t do a full day and it took 4 weeks to complete. At time of writing, I am still waiting for my oven, microwave and damaged door to be fitted. During this 4 weeks I had no cooking or washing facilities. I had to wash up in my downstairs toilet which is not hygienic. My kitchen is not large and there was no building work involved. I have complained to be told they will not pay any compensation. I went to Wickes as they offered a one stop service. Do not use Wickes!

Click and collect is the only way to shop here during lock down. Order online, taking care to pick the right store, pay then wait for the SMS to tell you the order is ready. Expect 8 hours wait.The Northallerton store has good parking, and staff are helpful and ready to direct you into the right place.

We feel very badly let down by this company. We ordered a new kitchen from them in the Spring. We were told that we could either pay by credit or pay in full at the time of ordering. So we paid in full and were told that the kitchen would be fitted in June/July. In the meantime we sourced cooker and hood, dishwasher and sink which have since May been taking up space in our garage. When we rang up in May to confirm the fitting date we were told we would have to wait until January 2023! Unbelievable. And this despite their having taken full payment. Definitely one to avoid as their word is worthless.

I am very disappointed with this Company's attitude and found them dismissive with regards to my complaint about the installer's workmanship. The Customer Services Manager would not even come to the phone to listen to my legitimate complaint which challenged their installation guarantee as the toilet proved to have been flawed and this fact concealed at installation.I will not be using Wickes again and would give them a nil star rating after this.

Not been to Wickes for years, as I moved away from a town with it.Dropped in on the way home and really pleased we did. Just as I remembered, good quality products at reasonable prices.The team were really helpful and, although I ended up spending more than I bargained for, that's purely because there was so much I'd put off buying from another 'DIY' shop that's closer to my home.Definitely will be returning.

Went to buy compost. Parked, in the car park, next to it. Took note of what I wanted & went to pay. Was told I would have to carry sack of compost through shop from car park to be scanned. Queried this, only to be told I could use a trolley. No offer of assistance from either staff (half my age, at least) on tills & no customers waiting. Priceless.
