Other reviews are good, but I found it a difficult shop to use the day before yesterday as one of the staff was so unresponsive to me, that as a new customer I felt very awkward. The other member of staff helped me find a book and was much better as he responded to me, but overall, it still felt awkward to me. I don't feel comfortable enough to go back to have a coffee there after that, which is sad as the stock is superb and I had intended to go back for a browse. I hope that I caught it on a bad day and it's not usually like that.

I give this 5 stars because the amazing literature and Christian out reach in the cafe outweighs one of my suggestions. I am a vegan and other Christian vegans like me would agree that they would like a cows milk alternative in their tea or coffee. Also vegan snack options would be good. This will also help the cafe to outreach vegans x

Superbly laid out and well stocked bookshop with an excellent cafe appended upstairs. Plus a second hand section containing competitively priced volumes including some out of print titles. I really enjoy my visits.
